  1. I was there last summer. They have some decent quality stuff. It really isn’t just the name and crap product. You think that’s good give prince Edward county a try out in picton Ontario. Better quality wine imo and without 99 percent of the corporate crap. Some good mom and pop ones out that way if you’re up for a drive. Great craft brew scene developing out there as well.
  2. If you need to be motivated to do what’s necessary to crack one of the worst nhl rosters then good friggen riddance. All of our roch fans have been feeding consistent info on him and it was never questioning why he isn’t in Buffalo.
  3. I think this is where you and I weren’t seeing eye to eye. I still disagree nylander is a better nhl player today than TT. Your 12 game sample size be damned ?. But yes if you have no interest in his age and where he is on his development curve then I could see how you got to essentially he’s not a great nhl player today. I’m still very intrigued in what he will develop into two or three years down the road but I concede he’s a fringe nhler today.
  4. @Randall Flagg you just hate anybody and anything that has to do with the ROR trade. It’s shocking to me anyone thinks Nylander is a better prospect than TT. This has much more to do with nylander than how confident I am in what TT will become.
  5. Some high praise out there for this kid. Never heard of him up until 5 min ago so taking some of it with a grain of salt.
  6. He's scouting the Chicago boars now for more info. He's our spy assassin. Let him do his work.
  7. I hope not. But if he's part of the package to bring in that 2C then so be it. If we ended up getting a nice 2C we should still have a formidable D and now have added middle 6 wingers in Vesey and MJ. As someone already mentioned, roster surgery is already well underway. Let's hope it works as well as Botts envisions but I'm down with making some big changes.
  8. Didn't have to read anymore. This is a JBott kind of guy.
  9. Potentially but should be noted his draft year was a full season later and D take longer to develop. It would be tough to write a bust label or anything close to that I'm assuming.
  10. So how is this name pronounced? I'm just chuckling thinking of Rob Ray.
  11. Two year deal with s reasonable cap hit. Don’t think this is Leino but worst case even if he is this is manageable. His hit comes off the books before Dahlin next contract.
  12. I have no idea how Gardiner plays in to this at all. If Marner signs there is not even close to enough cap space for him. If Marner is offer sheeted and not matched I’m still not sure leafs are very eager to run and give him money. He has some pretty iffy back issues and that’s the main reason he remains unsigned imo. I would be shocked if leafs sign him regardless of Marner situation and if they sign Marner there is no chance he’s back.
  13. Losing your D1 offseason is not nothing. He needs to be hitting the gym for all exercise he still can. Keep that skating up. Summer after the draft is obviously a big time for these kids to start getting stronger and working with their first pro level training staff. He’s coming from Yukon and Lethbridge. I was anxious to see if the sabres pro staff could really promote his development. Injury is a hand so I wouldn’t think it would be something that lingers long term. But I had cozens penciled in for oct 2020. Now with only one real offseason before then it makes things more difficult.
  14. Im not sure lose him is the right term lol. Let’s hope our bottom 6 is improved to the point that we don’t bat an eye if this is his last year.
  15. Right? I know the legs are more important in hockey than upper body, but he doesn’t look like that 16 year old kid in those videos of some of his workouts in the old days.
  16. You also said we wouldn’t see any offer sheets ? I know for cap purposes they probably can’t but I really hope this ends up being Boston.
  17. This is true. however, listening to leaf talk on the drive in this morning the longer this goes it favours Marner (according to the analyst). The division is so tight and with Tampa and Boston bringing back the same team they need a good start to the season. They’ve lost back to back game 7s to the bruins. They desperately want home ice advantage this year. You can almost kiss that goodbye if Marner pulls a nylander and sits out the first couple of months.
  18. Only silver lining is it’s nothing to do with knee/leg so he can keep up skating.
  19. I would consider changing thread title. You probably didn’t mean too but seems too vague and click bait worthy imo.
  20. Ya to be honest I kind of hate Peterson too. Ok maybe hate is too strong.
  21. 5 years left at $6 per. So if Nashville retained $2 then $4 mil per season for 6 years. Even at $4 mil I'm not touching him and his 7 goals last year and 16 the season before.
