I don’t blame Botts for his comments. What’s he going to say yes we really should be trading a D for a forward? He would lose any slim leverage he has. But at the same time it’s a joke he didn’t do something in the summer to improve the forwards. It’s a joke he hasn’t done anything over the past two weeks when it is OBVIOUS the forwards are nowhere near good enough to make the playoffs. I know he’s worried about getting fleeced in a trade again but Jesus get creative. It doesn’t have to be Risto for player x. Add pieces. Not saying give up a bunch of futures but it’s your job to figure this out and it’s obviously broken. How can we just stay the course and repeat last season all over again while he just sits there and watches???? Didnt wgr secret source ***** say there was a trade coming for a forward. Ya I really hope he isn’t out much longer. The forward depth is scary. Where was the roster surgery we were promised? It was painfully obvious how little scoring this team had last year and he brings in one decent forward and jimmy ***** vesey. Are they waiting until Jack says he wants out? I live in the great Satan and have many firiends and family who are leaf fans and this is not the sentiment I have received at all. There were rumours he could be on the hot seat but the ones I spoke to blame the players and Dubas more than Babs. Many think he should still be the coach.

How on earth was he set up to fail? Having the best centre spine in the NHL last season? They have stars throughout their forward group and a legit goalie in net. He lost the team and it's on him. Immediate fan reaction out Toronto seems they would rather Dubas have gone than Babs. Interesting.

Isn’t LTIR an option here? I don’t think there’s any recapture if he’s out due to his string of concussions. On a separate note I’m sure this guy has a family and I wish him the best of health. The play the other night didn’t look like a big collision and concussions are just so serious that I don’t know how he doesn’t consider stepping away.

Olofsson seems like the first sabres pick outside the first two rounds in forever who is contributing in any meaningful way. Again, in a salary cap era neither franchise has an excuse for the absolute disgrace they have been for over a decade. A decade. Mind boggling how there is STILL no end in sight.

Agreed. But how can there still be a talent problem??? Both teams play in leagues with salary caps. Both teams routinely pick in the top 10 to 15 in the draft. Again, just probability says this city should have 3, pushing 4 championships by now. That’s simply probability alone. Both franchises have been an embarrassment, save for 2 Sabres seasons, since the turn of the century. It’s been nearly 20 years now. What. The. *****. Is going on??

102 bills and sabres combined seasons and we have ***** all in terms of championships. That’s the only stat you need. because buffalo.
