Borgen is an interesting one. I love his potential. He’s been developing for four full seasons now (three years college and year in roch). He showed well in roch and his 4 games with Buffalo at the end last year. To me it’s getting closer to now or never (he’ll be turning 23 in a couple months). I would love to see him get a nice long look but with the glut of RHD it’s not looking very likely he gets a sniff.

Sure he's come out and said Risto isn't playing either of the first two but WHY?? Amen. Looking more and more like that pick just isn't going to pan out. First pick in the third round (2014). It happens.

Just checked and mine says that as well. But it says that for every game. Including ones that are very likely to be available. It’s my first year cutting cable and using the nhl.tv. Anyone who has it, does the feed usually become available right at the start of the game or earlier? And if I just kept reading I would see the answer haha.

That's a fair point but guys like Panarin had to move due to the larger salaries. It is hard to isolate every single factor but I don't think there's much debate that there is a finite amount of cap space and you can usually keep your guys but it's coming at an opportunity cost.

For O that’s it for sure. The D should look a lot different too (I hope). Big improvement in our breakouts and a nice step for Dahlin is the scenario you get too if this drought ever ends this season.

First bold is exactly my point. Second bold how do you know that? He made a couple small comments at the end of the season, it seems obvious he and Botts have had some discussions about moving on. He's been here like 5 friggen years of losing. Sabres brought in 3 new RHD. It seems obvious Jason is still in on trade talks. I don't even think it would be out of line Risto questioning why he's still here publicly. I'm glad this is Risto's makeup but it's not uncommon for Athletes of any sport to say what's on their mind rather than the company line ya know?

I will say the same here as the other thread. I disagree with your take. There are so many athletes who voice their real opinions to the media.

No it's not. Many have publicly said they want out. Risto isn't doing that. Ofcourse there is still the game to be played out and he may get moved but there are many athletes who have chosen to not keep their mouth shut about it.
