Also here is the league page https://fantasy.nfl.com/league/2631523 Looks like SDS is in so once everyone is I will set the draft time. I'm thinking either Monday Sept 2 or Wed Sept 4 at like 930pm. As we have done before I will try to accommodate as much as I can so please let me know if this day/time really does not work.

Actually I think everyone else is confirmed back so @SDS and @Claude Balls are in while taro and juju out. Next question is draft day/time. I usually prefer close to the start of the season and in the evening (around 9ish). Thoughts?

This. I don’t know. I keep coming back to true saying when you have a franchise centre and franchise D you are not far away. Seems like a lot of negativity right now and with it being early August my hope tank is filled to the brim. I think we do hit 90-95 points this year if they stay healthy. They showed flashes of it last season. This team is and has been building mainly through the draft. It’s finally time for this to start paying off. VO looked legit on Eichel s wing in that small sample size last year. The D is completely remade. Miller, Joker, Montour (basically) are all new and knocking on the door. Pilut should be ready. On paper, this is the best starting talent and DEPTH they have had in many years. Does Eichel have a bit more (just from his age and development curve)? What about reinhart? Certainly expecting to see more from Mitts. There are still big problems up front but replacing pommer with johonnson and Vesey should still be an upgrade. Goaktending. Let’s hope the new goalie coach can get that back on track because we are a playoff team or not based on this. At times in November they both looked like the real deal but also looked awful in the second half of the year. My other major concern is coaching. I really like the RK hire but we can’t afford to get off to a slow start. He better have his system implemented during training camp and preseason.

Don’t forget that everyone and their grandmother sucked down the stretch. I would suggest it isn’t uncommon for rookies who are use to playing 30 or 40 games a year to fade down the stretch when they start hitting game 50 plus. There were stretches of Dahlin where I thought he looked tired at the end. I’m with Dark. He needs to take that step this season, last seasons use in nhl vs ahl is irrelevant. I’m frankly not as down or worried as some of you but if it’s april 2020 and he’s burried down the lineup then I will be very concerned. His expectations last season were sky high and he underachieved. His expectations seem to be incredibly low going into this year and it won’t surprise me in the least if he overachieves in comparison to what some feel he will do.

I didn't hear the interview but challenging Mitts to take a big step this season does not equal him being cool with Mitts as 2C. No matter where he is lined up Mitts is being counted on as a big part of the future and he NEEDS to step up. I think the best opportunity for that is bringing in a 2C and allowing him to develop on the third line with less pressure. I still think a decent trade is coming but as others have mentioned it won't surprise me if it comes in September.

Do you find it ironic that the hometown favorite Marner is still holding out while the money hungry Matthews is signed? Not to mention Nylander paved the way for him to hold out. He showed that the young leafs will actually sit out. Yet Matthews signed. I hope beyond hope that you are right about him but nothing has played out the way you think regarding Matthews.

Living out of market, I buy Centre Ice and cannot get the Nationally televised games (Canadian in my case) as they are blacked out (and I recently cut cable). So I'm very content with less nationally broadcast games as those are the only ones I don't get to see. Having said that, if they were better they would be put on more often so I guess I'm fine with that too hahahha.

This I didn’t know. Let’s hope he isn’t holding any of that baggage this season. It was strange seeing him go from atleast competent middle/bottom pair to tire fire almost overnight.

As soon as possible is always best but were a few weeks out so maybe a week or two to think about it? Good question on draft. Usually it's shortly before the season but no set time yet.
