  1. Discrimination goes beyond the color of skin and Human Rights are not an "agenda." And, I don't know if this has been brought up. Exactly how would this law be policed? I will guess there will be some old white republican guy stationed at every bathroom in the state checking genitalia? How many children go to bed hungry in North Carolina each night? How many injured or killed by gun violence? How many will have their lives ruined by a transgendered individual using a bathroom? This just goes to the overall warped priorities of the Republican Party. How much time and money has been wasted by the NC legislature on a bill that helps no one and attempts to harm many?
  2. These posts are great, and inspiring. Any recommendations on a bike for an older guy looking to get back in shape?
  3. Previous teams would have folded after giving up a three goal lead. This group didn't. It's just another sign in a growing list of signs. There's something different about this team, IMO. Also, A three goal lead after one period while being out-shot 18-9, did anyone not expect a Pens comeback?
  4. Three straight games with points to start a career. Any idea what the record is? I know the rookie from Philly had a good run earlier setting a team record. Can't someone from the Sabres provide NHL.com a profile pic?
  5. Another point after trailing going into the 3rd. Hate seeing them give up the 3 goal lead. Pittsburgh is on fire at 9-1 over their last 10. It was good to see the Sabres shake off the 4 straight goals to tie it up. Little signs that team is heading in the right direction.
  6. This is dead on. No tampering, a kid from the Boston area wanting to play for the Bruins is no surprise. If Nashville was smart they would trade his rights to the Bruins for a pick, sort of locks the Leafs out for a bit.
  7. Felt compelled to fix that for you. A state does not and never will have the right to discriminate against anyone. So, no state's rights will be violated. People need to realize that Trump is nothing more than a mirror held up to the face of the Republican Party. I don't think Bernie will beat Clinton. I'm not sure if I want him to. What I would like is for Bernie to force Clinton Presidential polices more to the left. Some updated numbers. 131 children under the age of 11 have been killed/injured by gun violence. 694 children under the age of 17 have been killed/injured by gun violence. This should be the top story of every newscast every evening.
  8. I don't get the anti-Bogosian sentiment. His, size, age, fixed cost and experience make Bogosian a great fit for this franchise. Is he a Norris Trophy Candidate? No. If he were he wouldn't be a Sabres and would cost a lot more per season. Will he be a fit two or three years down the road. We have no idea. Luckily the Sabres don't have to make that decision now. They can make it two - three years from now.
  9. I know they fell a goal short of another 3rd period comeback. This team just does not have quirt in them. Game by game the hope I have for this team is turning into respect and pride. These are players that make it easy to cheer for them. Not because of draft status, because of effort and the players they are.
  10. A ton of respect for your decision. Haven't the Iraqi people suffered enough? Living under a murderous brutal tyrant. Attacked twice by the murderous brutal Bush family. A country that we have used as our own personal military dumping ground, the Iraqi people deserve our condolences, support and mostly our apologies.
  11. I liked how he described the goal, he read the play and didn't think he could make the pass so he went straight to the net. This goal should teach him that's were the goals are scored in the NHL. I also liked the Coach's decision to review the 2nd goal. I doubt they though it would be reversed, what it did do was give a chance for his team to gain composure. A legit shot at finishing above the Sens and Habs. Not many would have predicted that last off season.
  12. 7th win after trailing going into the 3rd. Tied for 2nd, 1 behind the league leader LA Kings.
  13. Another 3rd period comeback for the good guys. This is definitely a trend I can get use to.
  14. Unfortunately for me, Yes. You built a strong team and have been dominate all season. I have to say, if I win it will be an upset. I played you close in week 19. I'm going to need an above average week from a few of my players to make it back to the Finals. Good Luck.
  15. Going head to head in Blue. Hoping the mild regular season success I had carry's into the playoffs. Good Luck.
  16. 70%? How many games do you watch? Seems like an arbitrary number. From the games I watch, compared to watching other sports, the NHL has no more or less "mediocre" games than basketball, football or baseball. 82 games each for 30 teams, they are not all going to be instant classics. I don't need scores to be 6-5 to enjoy a hockey game. I like that goals actually mean something and that goaltenders are now actual athletes. It makes the game stronger, iMO.
  17. I can't name a specific player. I do enjoy watching the young talent the Flames and Sabres are amassing. Both franchises appear to be on the same path and timeline.
  18. My wife and I have been going to estate/yard sales regularly for about the last 4-5 years. Today I hit the jack pot. For a mere $3.50 I picked up 'Schony; the Jim Schonfeld released in 1971. Schony sings such classics as: All Along the Watchtower. I Saw Her Standing There. Great Balls of Fire. Chain Gang. Before. You Can't Do That. You Always Hurt The Ones You Love. Barbecue In Heaven. Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying. Hey Bulldog. Produced by Jerry Myers and Jon Valby. This is the coolest thing I have picked up to date. I was wondering if anyone has a hidden treasure they found and would like to share. Thanks!
  19. 50 games, 12 goals this season and he will be 32 going into next season. The days of 40 goals are behind Nash. 30 at this point maybe a long shot. Add in age and price and this is not a good fit for a team at the beginning stages of the building process.
  20. When has education ever been a bad thing? We live in a global economy where technology advances in leaps and bounds on a daily basis. For this country to keep up with the rest of the world it will have to be education driven. As a country we should always be looking to raise the bar or standards. Lowering them will only hold us back. Years and years ago a grammar school was the minimum requirement for a decent job. It then became a high school diploma. It's 2016, the base standard is now a college education, either a 2 or 4 year degree. It's all part of this country's evolution and will continue to be, as it should.
  21. Why would the Sabres be interested in a 31 year old who's numbers have fallen off of the cliff? Adding older players on the downside is what you do when it's time to fine tune the roster, not during the early stages of rebuilding and not for the money/assets it would require.
  22. Let's talk about this five years down the road. I don't believe anyone ever questioned McDavid's ability to produce points. I believe we got the better player, maybe not the more productive scorer, but the better player that will get this team to where we all want to see it, contending and winning Stanley Cups. Five years down the road the Oliers are going to be regreting winning the McDavid Lottery.
  23. The earned another point after trailing going into the third. I hate that there are only 11 games left this season. I'm also ready to get the 2016-17 season started. It's been a long time since I have been this excited about the Sabres.
  24. Great year everyone. After losing in both Finals last year, maybe this is the year I break through. It's going to be a battle, a lot of well built teams stand in the way. Good Luck to all the playoff teams.
