If they've decided Fowler will not play for Anaheim this year, doesn't that decrease his trade value a little bit? Not saying a lot. Just at a much more reasonable price.
-
First time for everything.... In my opinion Murray hasn't done anything at the stupid level yet. Like to think he'll continue to play it smart.

:w00t: Gets my hopes up! But what is the costs....

Prediction time: Will the Sabres make a big move in the next 48 hours?

 6 years w/ 7 million at the most is my highest offer. -

it would have been sweet if you had a source. It's 4th of July weekend. I want a lot to celebrate. And yes, that still includes our Independence Day. -
Go glass is half full. Okposo is 28 right now? Think Jagr. Man does not age.
-
Just a little nervous Buffalo doesn't land an experienced, quality top 6 forward. Really want the Sabres to sign Okposo. And of course, still has to prove he is a true top 6 forward, I have high hopes Vesey also signs. Take it you guys are in the medical field? Very cool. And still awesome if you're not. Just curious.

7:30 on free agent signing day. Little talk this morning on SS? Some what shocked by this guys. Start posting. Enjoy reading everyone's posts and most certainly the updates.
-
As I began reading the post I was like please say he intends to sign. If he signs, gotta celebrate that.
-
Did he ever say so?
-
Druoin sat out a bit last season and requested a trade. Things calmed down a bit , but he did say he would like something to be done this summer.
-
He's better, in my opinion, than Lucic. And according to Hoss, Lucic is wanting 6 mill a year. If the cap hit is less than 7 mill, go for Okposo.
-
Happy if he stays in the west

After what has gone down Edmonton, McDavid's want, assuming he has one, to get out of their asap is growing every day. Too bad for him after ELC he'll still be an RFA. And Edmonton will match any team's offer the day that comes.
-
If is the reason Buffalo needs to consider Okposo. If the Sabres land him and continue decent improvement, it'll increase their chances in landing a FA Murray may want to bring in next year (2017-18).
-
I'm still concerned he won't sign w/ Buffalo before August 15th. And to be honest, I think we get the answer to that on July 1st. Used to be against the idea of Buffalo going for Okposo. But after the wake up call provided yesterday by Stamkos, 7 million, rumor that's how much Okposo wants, doesn't sound so bad. Good to balance veterans w/ the youth. Okposo does want a lengthy deal. Even if the Sabres land Vesey, I'm in hopes Buffalo can bring Okposo in.

That's something I do not get. Yeah, a TC avatar should encourage a person to be creative and make a quick change, but his era is far and gone. 5 years is long enough. Even though he's still on the team, switch it to Moulson. Quite sure that'd get a person motivated to change. Montreal will never trade a player of Subban's caliber to the Sabres. And who would the Sabres have to cough up? My guess would be O'Reilly. And no, I wouldn't support that trade.
-
Murray's probably giving the guy until 12:00 p.m. July 1st. Vesey has had plenty of time to think. If he doesn't sign on the 1st GMTM quickly makes attempts for FA (s) on his list. Quite sure he'll be busy on the phone in trade talks as well. Doesn't mean Murray will actually add anything this summer. But quite sure he has plans a, b and c in mind.
-
That is a good point. I also thought that's where he'd end up. Stamkos must not want to go through the early years of a young team. And I respect that. Just seemed like it was a definite he was not staying w/ Tampa. Bishop can say bye bye to the Lightning.
-
In general their fans are the most disappointed. And understandably so.
-
They'll be shipping Bishop out. At least they hope to. No plans to re-sign him. They should have enough cap space to keep things how they want them. Wonder who is more disappointed. Detroit or Toronto fans? I know I am as a Sabre fan. But when the Wings were able to get rid of Pavel's contract it got many in Detroit excited w/ the possibility of bringing in Stamkos. And well, Toronto is his home town and there is a lot to look forward to. Quite sure they're fans are very disappointed as well. The Leafs were THE team I did not want Stamkos to go to.
-
Plenty of Bills have also stayed in the area.
-
Don't worry about the name too much. One of my favs and still an incredible game was "Bionic Commando" on the NES. Cheesy name. And had a cheesy, atari like cover.
-
I liked Madden far more than NFL 2k, but knew if EA gained an exclusive contract it'd lead to lack of improvement year in year out. Now I go 2-3 years for Madden, but still pick up NHL every season. I actually liked the NHL 2k series more than NHL.
-
I'm already going that direction.... Toronto lands both Stamkos and Vesey. Calling it. :wallbash:
