    Preparation doesn't make our goal keeper capable on one on ones. He isn't weak on these he's apparently incapable against them. As it stands now we will lose one point for every game that goes to the shootout. I actually don't think Lehner is too bad other than one on one but unfortunately he's non existent on them.

    It amazes me that some posters think deadline moves are important to building a team. There dumping stations. It's rare a "hockey trade" or significant moves are made at trade deadline day. Fans are obsessed with trading regardless.

    I didn't want Gionta traded and Kulikov with his injuries was not going to get you what many here thought. I thought maybe they might make one deal but not surprised they didn't.

    Truthfully this is about what was to b expected. Our UFA players were not going to fetch anything ,in my mind, so let's wait for expansion draft and regular draft then look at where free agency is. I could care less about just dumping players for fifth rounders just to say we did something.

    Good post. This where I am as well. I have mixed reviews of this rebuild thus far and this off season and first half of next will tell a lot. Bylsma could go as I don't believe these guys really care for him.

    Faith seems to be an issue for you but not sure it is for the Pegulas. I think this would be Murray's call anyway.

    This. I tend to agree. Don't want Kane moved unless we get a top 2 defenseman who is still young. Other than that attempt to off load UFA's probably at most couple deals of no note.

    The general code of conduct today in society in general makes me believe nothing will come of this. The kid was following examples set by people like Peters.

    Exactly why Eichel is also on the non trade list. If you would not trade McDavid or Crosby then how or for whom would you trade him to? Matthews,Crosby,McDavid and Eichel are the no trade players at this point.

    Quite honestly the Sabres are not going to the playoffs this season. The only trade I see is what a previous poster called trimming the fat. If you can get 2-4 picks for your Franson types who aren't in our future do it. Kane,if he's moved, would probably be a draft day or off season move.

    Not crazy about our coach, but I don't think he's cost us the points that some on here think. Frankly once a player or a coach gets in a few fans dog house it spreads like cancer. I for one never got all the Nolan love. Just didn't think his coaching rose near to the level of his popularity.

    The major concern with Kane and long term, big money contacts is simply can he stay clean off the ice. He definitely , barring a total collapse in his play, will be looking long term for big money. I was happy with ROR and Okposo contracts but Kane, to me, is bigger risk and I would discount some because of that for sure.

    Don't agree at all in your timeline. I guess I remember how down Chicago was and how long it took to get where they are now.
