Shootouts are a bad omen in hockey. You can be a success as a shooter in a shootout and not be a very good overall hockey player. Remember Kotalik? You can be a better goalie in a game situation than in a shootout it would seem. Let's win , lose or tie with whole teams playing something resembling hockey. I don't like shootouts, don't like the three point play in basketball and I don't like the designated hitter in baseball. Those changes in our sports created more jobs for players but for me take away from the games themselves.JMO.

That play in their own end was as pathetic as I've seen it all season. By all accounts this would be four nothing if not for our goaltender.

Again, Dunleavy is absolutely horrible. He can't follow the game. Boy if Rick retires please not this guy. Amerks announcer way better than Dunleavy. On radio you have no idea what is happening until the play is over.

I think anything is better than a shoot out but I always preferred having one period of overtime then if it ends in tie one point for each team.

His talent is unmistakable. Just let him be Jack.

Romo I doubt would come and I think physically he is shot.

Not to say I'm totally sold on either but this idea that we gave up a lot for Lehner. Go back and do history of lower first round picks and don't think it was that great a risk compared to who we may have picked at that spot.

Unfortunately you nailed it ..."typical". At least on sports boards and call in shows. I would be interested how perfect these same guys on their jobs.

I do think fans have the right to boo but for me t was over pretty much as soon as he said he was going to FA which he had every right to do. Let's face it the Rangers made sense in a lot of ways. So I'm quite detached from it as a fan.

I would rather Jack just worry about the game at this point . He is young and has one year professionally. ROR has more experience and a bit older. He has what appears to have all the qualifications. The most talented player on the ice doesn't have to be captain. O'Rielly has one of the best overall games in hockey in my opinion.

I'm,for some reason, having hard time staying that interested in this team.

Yeah, I'm thinking this could be a real test of our defense/goaltending. Not all that confident we can handle it.
