  1. I agree. But the weirdness of not having a conditioning routine because of covid can't help the situation. Being shut down for days or weeks in isolation I'm sure is part of the problem. And I believe the *talent* factor is true. But I can't just throw everything into one of either 2 baskets of conditioning or medical staff.
  2. I was trying to compare size wise in height and weight. Tuch plays big and is big. Murray plays tentatively and is big. I believe Murray has more skill and has the same speed as Hayden and is bigger, yet I like Hayden's game better. I just think Murray has so much potential and would love to seem him succeed.
  3. This happens when covid ends unless waaaay overpaying is all right.
  4. I don't doubt there is more than luck going on. But if you break out are man game losses the three that really stand out are Anderson, Toker and Mitts. The last I knew Mitts was slashed and has/had a wrist injury. Anderson took a puck to the neck. Toker has lingering effects from Covid. That's not conditioning or bad medical staff.
  5. That's to bad. I was hoping for Tuch like play. May not be a fighter but just relentless and a true pain to play against.
  6. Casey had a sports hernia? edit. These things you mentioned are from years ago, what staff is left from all that?
  7. Does anyone have any clue when it happened? I'm assuming knee on knee that went un-seen on the broadcast when they say he needs an MRI.
  8. Okposo looked like he slammed his elbow on the ice when he went down awkwardly. Good to have him and Girgensons back to have a PK again.
  9. I don't believe we can attribute most of the injuries this year to any type of conditioning or on the medical staff, if anything they seem to be erroring on the side of keeping them sidelined longer. Covid, slashing injuries, pucks to the neck, awkward falls/hits into the boards are bad luck.
  10. There has to be some appreciation given to the coaching staff that has fostered this revival in is offensive game while helping him get better at his defensive lapses. He is a very good player, but Dahlin is a poster child for what happens when bad coaches come to town.
  11. He needs to play as big as he is. He's seems to not be doing what HCDG asks him to do. Play hard, make mistakes, then play harder.
  12. I read that again. Have a love/hate thing for that post. Love the factual content, hate to have to relive it while reading.
  13. Three things need to happen to luck into a NYI cap dump event. 1. COVID ends. Out of the Sabres control 2. The league gets serious on enforcing the cap. No more taxi squads and ways around the cap. Out of the Sabres control. 3. Sabres are ready for a serious multi year push of playoff runs. That they have control over. If 1 and 2 happen sometime between June of 2022 and September of 2023 the Sabres should be poised to be in a great position to *help* other teams relieve themselves of their over budget players with relatively short terms left on their contracts. KA would be an idiot not to expect this to happen and his analytics department has to be getting ready for this.
  14. Have you ever tried being a howling backbencher? I can tell you from personal experience that it is way more fun than being a silent frontbencher, that's for sure. We always have good beer, the best pizza and hot chicks. We spend most of our time laughing at the frontbenchers in their cardigan sweaters.
  15. He just doesn't have the size to go with his edgy play. At 25 years old he is what he is. I prefer him to Butcher.
  16. Is the game still a go with the storm? Are the Red Wings in Buffalo already?
  17. I can see an investment group investing in something that they believe needs none of their input for their investment to grow. If an investment group does see where many clubs are lack luster in their hospitality portion of the business and want more control of the game day experience, or if the club owns their venue all events at the arena, that will attract proactive investors.
  18. When Jankowski and Hayden stand out as being your spark plugs it's not because they are the most talented, but the only ones that tried. Not to much by our talented ones this game except Tage. He tried. Just not the rest of his line.
  19. Especially if Buffalo wants to give that veteran a 1 year contract. Who would want to come here in a *prove it contract year* term only to lose to try and earn another contract? I expect no outside help except another Anderson type. We live or die within our system.
  20. I believe that Peters is onto something. He's been good about getting a scoop and it coming to fruition. Way to vague though for me to obsess over at this time.
  21. When Jankowski and Hayden have some of the best offensive zone time in the period ... The rest of our *skilled* players are slacking.
  22. If I was Edmonton I would take that trade in a heart beat. The Sabres would be re-set roster wise back to 2019. That would be one of the dumbest moves KA could make.
  23. When Pimlach and PA talk old days I think....
