  1. Bold. 1. Because KA will only bring in someone that really wants to be here. No more Stalls or Halls. 2. That player must have the right mentality. They must be as motivated as they are skilled. My take on a KA free agent signing mantra. 3. No top 1-3 draft picks and no top prospects to be given up. KA will hold those close to his vest till he really thinks we are a piece or 2 away from it all. 4. NTC. We are on everyone's list of the no go zone. If we are not and KA talks with them and they sound apprehensive, see 1.. 5. Covid. Till it dies way down and there are no more talks of taxi squads or needing 4 goalies which is months away every GM will stand pat with their assets. Red. I view Tokarski and Anderson as 55-85. For the most part on lower tier team they are the second goalie and for any winning club they are the third goalie. We can find more of them but why? They're here, they're ours and they seem to like it here. We are not prying a 26-54 goalie out from a team and come out as a fair trade. We can get lucky. End of covid, salary cap dumps and some creativity could land us a stop gap goalie and a decent RHD. The better they play, the more fun the players have during the second half of the season the *luckier* we will get, because see1..
  2. “He can play center, he can play left and right wing. He’s got enough skill to play up your lineup, but he’s good enough defensively and hard enough to be in your bottom six. If Biro, a free agent the Sabres’ old regime signed in 2020, keeps up his torrid production, he could certainly earn his first recall to Buffalo’s active roster. Between Hayden, Jankowski and Biro one of them has to fit into a line with Girgs and KO to make it a *high energy line* .
  3. The stars will have to align just right for anyone of them to happen. Not saying it won't, but chances are slim. Which means the odds of the Sabres getting a top 64 goalie or a top 4 RHD will mean they pay dearly.
  4. If the covid threat continues into next season all GMs will want at least 3 NHL caliper goalies. The price for a goalie will be extremely high. So to answer your question, by giving up high picks or prospects.
  5. The ONLY interest I have is to watch team Canada play IF Power and Levi play.
  6. That is a lot of TOI for his first game where he belongs. I'm assuming he'll get some more, a minute or 2 as he gets into game shape and he adjusts to his team.
  7. An above average team. Without Hasek they would just make the playoff's.
  8. He could do the same for at least 8 other bottom dwelling teams. He's getting clicks. Not in an unrespectable way. He's doing his job and keeping fans talking. But still making up stuff that's can't be proven false or true.
  9. That seems like one of those *sling poop at wall and see who clicks* totally made up thoughts. No proof, but why wouldn't KA be looking or any other GM for that matter.
  10. You've put strength to weakness in each of those pairings as best as possible with what you have to work with in order to balance them statistically. I wish they would play them that way so we can do the eye test. It's *old school* hockey to pair them that way so maybe the new statistical way shows a different model.
  11. He didn't match well here. His skills/and his deficiencies where to similar to the rest of the defensemen to get a nice pairing. I look at Muel and Fitz and they both have their strengths and weaknesses but ones strength is the others weakness so they complement each other. He very well could be a better compliment to Muel than Fitz. I just don't think he is as bad as as we perceive him. I think we perceive him as the worst defenseman on a team bad at defense.
  12. I did miss it. But as long as I understand what they mean to say all typing/spelling errors are glossed over.
  13. Oh really now. And don't give me any of that phone bit. Just let your feeling flow.....
  14. If someone claims him they have to put him on the active NHL roster. Another team can't put him on the taxi squad or send them to the minors so his chances of getting picked up are slim.
  15. re-sign verb (2) \ (ˌ)rē-ˈsīn \ re-signed; re-signing; re-signs Definition of re-sign (Entry 2 of 2) transitive verb : to sign again especially : to rehire (someone, such as an athlete) by means of a signed contract What am I missing?
  16. I read the article. He put numbers to what we all see, that the two absolutely don't complement each other and apart are better both by eye and statistically. He wants Joker with the Muel and Dahlin with Fitz. I would love for Donny to try it in a season that doesn't count and wins don't matter.
  17. I wish he was still playing. He may not be what this team needs on defense but he had some trade deadline value and that's gone now. I also never want to see a player get a serious injury no matter how well/poor I deem his play.
  18. I totally agree with you. Just having a little fun with yoga pants.
  19. Can't he just where the pants like everyone else?
  20. Five alarm chili and tequila shooters have the same effect. Leads to this.
  21. Olofsson and Aspercreme don't warm my bottom on the second PP. We just don't have anyone better with Mitt's out.
  22. This has been the most fun year of Sabres hockey in my opinion in over a decade (that bar was so low it was buried). We have an all nature blossoming of prospects starting to immerge and more in the pipe line for years to come. There is more that just hope, we can see the seedlings breaking through the soil.
  23. The only wat to get into game shape is to play games. No other way. No bike riding, practicing, running gets you into game shape. He plays or he doesn't get into game shape. If you have ever competed at a high level in any sport you now this to be fact.
