Find a starting goalie for a 3rd round or lower pick that is on a maximum deal of 2 years that you will guarantee is better than UPL/Anderson. If you can't, neither can KA.
-
But unlike every other year we are still in the covid years, where even a second will cost a lot. If the GMs believe that there will be no more covid related long term goalie issues the market will return to normal. Till then the price will remain stupid high.

I see a glass half full. They played well enough to get the win. -
You are signing Levi and having him start in Rochester burning his ECL as the other half of that equation if I'm remembering your position correctly. One more year for Portillo in college, then to Rochester with him in 2023. At the start of 2024-25 season three *home grown* goalies will be fighting for 2 spots on the big club. If this is also KA's plan we will never see a FA signing in goal for longer than 1 year, if at all, this summer.

I don't have twiter and I got to read the tweet. It's just gone.

If you where told that in September wouldn't that have made you happy after last season? Were we not supposed to be even worse than one of the worst all time teams (last years team)? Would I like them to be better? Of course, but I am getting what I was really hoping for, improvement in every young (un-injured) player on the roster. -

First, You are right in my opinion that the loss was 100% on Toker. But, It's hard for any player to be ready to play at a fairly high standard having so little playing/practice as he has had over the last few months. He's played 3 games since the end of November. Got shut in because of covid. He played below his average and it's not surprising. -
Mitts is rotating in. So a 50/50 chance to play Sunday as of right now.

bold. I thought Asplund and Olofsson had their best game in months, is it because of Krebs or because they are both a little heathier and getting back to normal? I don't believe that O&A are still back to early season form. Krebs has a controlled chaos vibe about him like Skinner. He's a lot of fun to watch and I think Granato is the perfect coach for him right now. -

The only way your are wrong is if a decent goalie comes available for a late round pick. -

He's 24. He's still not going to get much faster skating wise being a few years younger. He may play faster with some more seasoning. -
I read that wrong. Thank you.

He would be 19 1/2 at the start of the 2022 season this fall. I would consider giving him a stint in the AHL. Get him on a good diet and with strength and conditioning coaches . Waiting till the following year certainly wouldn't hinder him in any way.

He needed sacrificed as they crowds have been sharping the pitch forks and soaking the torches in kerosene for sometime.

No he doesn't. But we haven't been very good defensively for 10 years. Dahlin is far and away our best defenseman, but him and Joker are not a good defensive pairing. A RHD clone of Muel paired with Dahlin would go a long way to fix that. Do you have cloning abilities? -

Florida is the really hot rumor. He has a house there, be a big favor to him if Buffalo would send him there is what I was hearing. We may trade him for a bag of pucks but Anderson may sign on another vet minimum deal in return. -

They've been a good pairing. The best defensive pair we've had in 10 years? -

There have been some really good big goalies Bishop, Luongo (?) Price . The best have been the most athletic and determined. Hasek, Roy, Lunqvist My two sense on how much 10 pounds and an 1 inch of height matter.

If uncle is mom's brother, he's got a big growth spurt coming. Your mother raised quite the gentleman for not sharing a lady's stats. Thank you, my mom is happy with one of us. Could be one took after mom and one after dad. I have no idea the family makeup.

This will be mostly personal opinion as I have no idea the truth behind it but.... Do scouts look at the parents and try to determine future growth of a 17 year old? I believe the answer is a big YES. They look at the player now and then the parents to get a glimpse of the future body build of their prospect. Who here knows the stats on mom and dad?

Out six to seven weeks? 2 weeks to get into game shape in Rochester. We may not see him back up here but for a few games.
-
Practice on ice starts at 2 I believe. Hoping Mitts is there in a blue sweater.

Kris Baker: possible Sabre college FA signings
woods-racer replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Aud Club
No. He's been a trooper and a leader, and has been good at every roll he has been given. I think he has played with just about everyone and could almost consider him being on every line at some point this season. But that's not a good thing for getting wins and overall team play. It would be nice to have a third line getting equal TOI as your second line. Have it not only play very sound defensively but generated consistent offensive production. I envision the LOG line with a center with some scoring touch on a good team. That would be my ideal usage for Kyle and Zemgus at this stage of their careers.
