So is he worth 4-5 mill over a 5 year term? To me he is not. He's another Ulmark. He's a good player with reasonable stats that will want a decent payday and long term. If we sign him for his potential and he stays at his average his contract will be a burden.

That's not a whole lot of good stuff on the north side of the break even line.

If they think they can get VO healthy, That is the multi million dollar question. If he gets healthy I think he really shines because he will have a lot of talent around him so getting him at 3.5 for 3 would seem like a steal. He's on a 2 year deal now at 3 mill per year. edit; The best I can tell from capfriendly he is right in line with his production (based on last year) for his current contract with his pers.

One thing the injury has shown is he is a bit one dimensional. Limit the big slapper and he no longer scores. How much is a player worth that is in that situation?

I don't believe he had one of his better games on the offensive side of the puck, that is where as a TV viewer we can see the forwards and get a sense of how they are playing. Defensively he's usually not in the camera, so I can't say. He did look like he's clutching his stick in the offensive zone trying to create something. I would say he was personally feeling the pressure and thought he was part of the problem in not getting VO's 1000# gorilla off his back.

Is that all you or did you read that somewhere? I really like it and I hope it's fits him well for a decade.

The Isles and Tampa are two of the dirtiest teams that I have watched play over the last two years. If the league is serious (and they aren't) about ending this they could do it in a month. But you mentioned the flip side. Nothing gets fans amped up like a good debauchery filled feud 4 times a year and that's good for the pocket book.

Are they healthy? I thought they were at best week to week? I'm really liking Jankowski's game as of late. Not sure I would punt him and Hayden is a nice bottom six fill in.

Name KA's goalie and the price. Just because 2 teams make a trade doesn't mean the Sabres where ever players for a similar trade. We had a 3rd sure, we didn't have a Benrier.
