Are we even still debating Terry Pegula? As someone who was born and raised in Buffalo, I agree with most sane people that Pegula is a saint. The city couldn't be more blessed. If you don't agree, go visit the Rigas's in jail, then travel to Hartford and ask people there about their NHL team.

This list makes me wonder what we would have done if the Isles didn't defer their first to us until this year. Would we have picked Dal Colle? Or Nik Ritchie? I remember wanting the Isles to defer because of this year being a better draft but who knew they'd improve this much?

It has been, but these two guys are just coming over to get in a couple of AHL games after their CHL seasons ended. This might have happened even if the Amerks were in the playoffs. The Sabres and injuries haven't helped out the Amerks much this year though - that's for sure.

I'm sure they'll make it. I don't know how many people realize or remember, but Rick's famous "MAY DAY! MAY DAY!" call was only on the radio. John Gurtler was the TV play-by-play at the time. I will be happy that Rick gets to make that "SABRES HAVE WON THE CUP!" call on any outlet.

If you have watched Jack Eichel you'd know that he is as generational as McDavid. The guy is unreal and he is playing against men relative to McDavid.

Because the "networks of NBC/Universal" will be showing every NHL Stanley Cup Playoff game - and I do think that is awesome - does that mean we'll never again hear Jeanneret call a Sabres playoff game on TV? Will they still let MSG have a local broadcast? I know you can try to match up the radio broadcast with the video, but it's not easily - especially when you have to stream WGR if you don't live in Buffalo. All I want more than a Sabres Stanley Cup is to hear Rick call it. Of course, we have to cherish every Jeanneret game from here on out. Hopefully there are more to come. I've been on board with the complete rebuild and the tank, but it makes me sad we had to waste two of what few years of Rick we have left.

I kind of have to agree with this. I know Hackett got hurt, but even knowing his contract situation, he still kept riding Lindback. Also, especially with us being out of the playoffs, he should have been playing the kids more, but instead rode his veterans like Ellis which accomplishes nothing. Meaningless wins that actually hurt the team's future are a result of vanity.

I could listen to Murray all day. I don't know how you couldn't love the guy. He just seem to have a definite plan and he's confident with the decisions he's made and will make.
