  1. I'm French, I'll have a look.
  2. Good post. I am still watching the games on TV but it's difficult to take this team. I was joking in another thread about parachuting Messier into that room to kick some butt. Strong leadership may be the key ingredient to get the team together and pulling in the same direction. I was happy on opening night that they had gone with no captain, I did not think there was a clear leader. I currently doubt there is someone in that room who can fill that role. Jack may mature into that role, (stop with the eye rolls). The top talent may not be the best leaders. Bobby Orr was not the captain, neither was Guy Lafleur. Gordie Howe was captain for a short period. I don't care if it's McCabe, I just wish someone would emerge and be strong. Perhaps importing another past his prime guy like Gionta may work.
  3. Linus Weissbach is a freshman at U is Wisconsin, scoring 12 points in 15 games. Good for a seventh rounder.
  4. He's not old enough to drink, but if he did, it would be Dos Equis.
  5. It's still a lottery system so don't get your hopes up. Remember Edmonton is also a bottom feeder again. Dahlin is the consensus #1, dynamic defenseman has been in Sweden's top league for two years as a 16 & 17 year old. He is a standout there and may be on their Olympic team. Some say he may be the best D-man in a while. I've seen Svechnikov, Merkley, MCLeod and Hayton in the OHL. They didn't stand out in the games I watched but Svechnikov had put up good numbers prior to breaking his arm. There are a lot of high end D-Men in this draft.
  6. Making room for the multiple bodies coming back in a blockbuster trade. Yeah right.
  7. I haven't been to many "new" arenas, more of the old barns. Montreal Forum, Maple Leaf Gardens, The Aud, Met Centre in Minneapolis, Le Collissee in Quebec, Calgary Saddledome and the Civic Centre in Ottawa. Copps Coliseum in Hamilton for a Memorial Cup was also considered NHL caliber at the time. "Modern" ones are Air Canada Centre, Canadian Tire Centre, Key Bank Centre. I would rate KBC in the middle of the other two. The one thing that stands out in the architecture for me were the escalators at the Forum. They looked like crossed hockey sticks from the outside windows. It felt like you were going into a hockey temple.
  8. I think the tournament being in Buffalo may have had an influence. Show him off to the locals and all the league GMs and staff.
  9. I guess the goal judge is whoever turns on the light. I have a Budweiser glass like that.
  10. Beaulieu scores the game winner and Bergevin gets fired on the spot.
  11. He was sucking before he went out, let's rain on his parade.
  12. I'm too cheap to start buying other team's swag.
  13. Why are there still goal judges? No one ever refers to them on a disputed goal. Those seats could raise the salary cap.
  14. Cliff Pu with another 2 point night. JBot signing him reinvigorated his game.
  15. I was watching the same feed. They were giving the Sabres some kudos.
  16. Not much Draisaitl envy tonight eh boys? Can someone at the rink please make sure Scandella doesn't board the Oilers bus with David McCommon. We need him tomorrow night. A OK!
  17. Same here, came from a Habs family and was looking for my own team. French Connection was a good fit.
  18. Don't like seeing the A la mode here boys.
  19. Send Matty Mo down for a conditioning stint. Regain his scoring touch so someone takes a gamble at the deadline. Bring up anyone.
  20. We haven't had many leads to draw upon but Lehner does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Prove me wrong big guy.
  21. Jack needs to hit the net, lots of quality chances, but all missed the net. He's working hard though, it'll come. Beaulieu playing like a riverboat gambler, no reward yet but he may pot one for our D. Scandella strong defensive game on McJesus. I thought Josefsson was a faceoff specialist, Okposo took one over him in the O-zone. I know it was strong side for a righty but... Rested Risto not rusty.
  22. This article generated by the Toronto media, believe it or not. Says Jack will be fine, with some stats to back it up. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/theres-nothing-wrong-jack-eichel/
