I’ve watched Quinn live a few times this year. He is a solid player who I’ve seen score on the one timer, short handed breakaway deke and a wrister from the circle. I didn’t think he was top 8 but he was a standout on a good team. I was surprised he was on the #1 PK and #1 PP units.

Without an NHL combine, it has been more challenging to determine any growth in size or strength on some of these guys. Jarvis could now be 5’11 175, which would eliminate all of the small chatter.I hope there is some due diligence done during the FaceTime interviews. I am still in the Rossi camp but if the Sabres are left with a choice of 3 of the RW, Raymond, Holtz, Quinn and Jarvis, Lundell and 1 of the D, it could be possible to move down and still get their guy + an asset.

It’s interesting the amount of variance in skill level for different birth years by location. Some of our AAA teams can have a strong 2004 group while the 2005 team struggles vs their peers from other communities.

I enjoyed the hockey, live entertainment vs Netflix reruns and such. I thought they did a great job with the bubbles and keeping people safe. It was tough on the players but it was a legitimate Stanley Cup playoff. I have no idea how the next season will proceed but I am hopeful there will be some good plans being discussed.

There is a chance Buffalo gets Rossi. This is my choice after the first 3 of Lafreniere, Byfield and Stutzle. Someone taking Askarov and or Sanderson early would certainly help. I am not opposed to moving down to the teens to get extra assets and maybe Jarvis.
