With fewer pics than most teams they should probably look at some College free agents and a few overage juniors to add some depth to the prospect pool.

He was a point a game player as a 16 year old, not in the OHL, but in a decent tier 2 Jr A league.

They moved from 19 to 24 and gained 2 3rd round picks. Zary is a good pick there.

He and Rossi were on different lines. They only shared the ice on PP1.

The only excuse Sportsnet could think of was that their next pick was 78 so they were scared he would be gone by then. It is a stretch............

I’ve watched Quinn live a few times this year. He is a solid player who I’ve seen score on the one timer, short handed breakaway deke and a wrister from the circle. I didn’t think he was top 8 but he was a standout on a good team. I was surprised he was on the #1 PK and #1 PP units.

I find it interesting that he did not play AAA hockey until he was 15. A definite late bloomer, maybe he has another level. Mike Bossy?

No trades yet. The current economics of the game have made teams value their 1st rounders a lot more.

He may not have been drafted, he only scored 12 goals that season.

Lundell has creeped up a bit in my mind because of this article. His Finnish national coach has seen the last few crops of young stars and he loves Lundell. I could be talked into taking him before Holtz because of position and all around game. Without an NHL combine, it has been more challenging to determine any growth in size or strength on some of these guys. Jarvis could now be 5’11 175, which would eliminate all of the small chatter.I hope there is some due diligence done during the FaceTime interviews. I am still in the Rossi camp but if the Sabres are left with a choice of 3 of the RW, Raymond, Holtz, Quinn and Jarvis, Lundell and 1 of the D, it could be possible to move down and still get their guy + an asset.
