Exactly if the Fowler for #8 talk was true, Murray would have done the trade already. I believe he's holding for what he seems is the fair rate. I doubt he views Fowler as the perfect young LHD. This would have been done yesterday afternoon if it was a "lock". Fowler is what he is.

I would trade Ennis for a 2nd round pick in 2016 or 2017 and a defensemen project prospect. I am scared of his head injury and the way that he plays. While the hit that caused him to miss basically the season is not indicative of him, I just have major concerns going forward. If someone has any belief, move on. Save the cap hit.

Stay at #8, and don't overpay for Fowler! Go get it done!

Fowler can stay in Anaheim or be traded elsewhere. God, I cannot believe he's getting this type of press. I'd rather give up value for Dumba, who I feel is both better and has tons of upside.

Someone tweeted out #8, one of Pysyk or McCabe and Girgensons for Fowler and likely #24. I find this to be a laugh. Fowler can go take a hike for that lunacy. I'm sorry, this player is not worth a top ten draft pick. Bieksa and Stoner aren't worth the paper that their contracts are written on. God, some people want a 24 LHD, who isn't a top pairing defensemen to add god awful contracts. No ty.

Question, do you truly view Fowler as a first pair defensemen? I see someone who is good at picking up the pace and making an inlet pass. But, he's not a complete defensemen and by virtue we're getting ripped off for a top ten pick.

He also said that he wouldn't move out one of his younger stars. Stating the obvious: Eichel, Reinhart, Ristolainen aren't moving.

Fowler is not exceptional in any sense of the word. He's an adequate offensive D. I consider him the offensive d version of Gudbranson. Shrugs, he's not that special.

I'm so impressed with the D in this class. Bean, Fabbro and McAvoy are all ultra talented. Sneaking back up into the mid part of the first round, which is unlikely for one of them and drafting Nylander would be a home run. I could go as far to say getting Fabbro and Nylander would be a home run. But more so on McAvoy...even as a RHD, he does so much that would be a home run in the future. He's still my guy True, but I'm warming up to most of the D in this class. I like McAvoy, Bean, Chychrun, Juolevi, Fabbro, Sergachev, Dineen, Niemaleinen, Fox, Mete. There are a ton of guys to like for various reasons. I doubt #4 is happening, I just ignored that part. The best would be signing Vesey, getting Sergachev/Juolevi and making a move for someone like Fowler/Despres in the right deal. I just don't think it makes any sense. If its more of a pieces deal with Girgensons, absolutely I will. Furthermore, I'd rather sign Soupy and draft Sergachev, Chychrun or Juolevi than give up the pick.

This is just the right guy for the Sabres. It is a perfect fit. I would love to see him with Eichel. He showed immeasurable poise at Harvard, and like Tkachuk he works down deep and around the net. he's just polished and everything you want. I love it!

Bogosian to somewhere, and that frees up the spot for Shattenkirk. It alleviates the PP concerns and he's a born PP guy. One of the best in the league. While sure, Barrie would have been younger, Shatty is so solid. I'd love him if Bogo can be moved.
