Antipin nice push at the end of the period, he could easily be our second best season if he picks up systems and is comfortable with English this season.

I hate anything with Moulson in it on any of the top four lines. He's a spot use player on the PP and as a 13th forward. I believe he's been passed by career AHL'er Seth Griffith as well as Bailey and possibly one of Baptiste or Fasching. This team is either going to be a really high paced team, or a barn fire. There are legit holes on the wings on multiple lines. But, you have to create depth by giving opportunity.

Considering Toronto was playing most of their stronger groups, it's a meh showing on our part. But, to be honest, the entire game was sloppy on both sides. It seems to me from what little I saw (being ill) was that Antipin was over extending himself in both zones. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

He made a really strong showing for himself. In my opinion he's just after Mittelstadt, Nylander and Asplund for forward prospects in the system.

Could very well be the case. Dreger stated it's possible they may follow suit with what Montreal did two season ago and Toronto last / this season. With no "C" and three "A"s. Just thought it was an interesting note.

Duchene hasn't done much of anything lately. On pure peripherals he's more likely a better player. However, when you consider he's entering his second contract for $$. I'm just not sure we need to acquire him. I'd just rather look elsewhere. I don't want to move Guhle in any deal for a Duchene. Unless we get a Duchene type return for Evander Kane (a top flight defensive prospect and assets). Pass.

I believe he'll be traded by the deadline to be honest. We'll see what happens, but I don't think he's long for Buffalo. He was a quality scorer last year of course which cannot be discounted towards his value. Someone will want to pony up.

I agree with all of this. There is enough veteran leadership in the room. Honestly, his exit interview felt like he was done with Buffalo. He seems like a dissident in the room to me. I'd rather just move on.

Honestly, if he shows that he can skate well and has put on the size that it looks like he has, he should make the team. If he's struggling he can always use more seasoning in the AHL.

40 points. 15-17 Goals between 20-23 Assists. With potential for more. I would say he's easily an upgrade over Moulson, Ennis combined.

Shrugs. I guess you sign him to push the boys down to the Roch. But....I'm just not that bothered by it.
