  1. Its not that Nolan would be in charge of call-up's. Its that he'd bury him like he has with Hodgson, on the fourth line instead of other skill players, rather than putting Mitchell/Flynn in the top 6.
  2. Wow I loved Goldson's play in SF, has he dropped off that badly? He'd be an upgrade on most rosters.
  3. I never got why he never got more of a look. Yes, he definitely looks better than Flynn did, as well as Mitchell. That's all on Nolan.
  4. 2 goals in 21 seconds, oh Lindback, you're so fantastic :D
  5. Okay, thanks on that.
  6. Curtis Lofton on a one year deal for Buffalo's defense? He was 4th in tackles last season and is 29. Is Mason Foster still available for some reason?
  7. Honestly there are a bunch of more underrated guys that I'd rather see them sign IMO. Signing Iupati or Bulaga seemed like an erroneous fix. Though the Chris Williams signing last year was by far the most dreadful in recent years.
  8. I had it first, he copied it. lol There are actually a bunch of interesting guys in my opinion. While he never really got into a flow offensively, Gresham could be an interesting guy.
  9. Good for Gore, #### the Eagles.
  10. Anyone else think Jabaal Sheard could be an interesting name for the Bills. I won't lie, I barely pay attention to football.
  11. What's a nice deal for a FB, Miller from SF, got I believe a base of a little over the 1.3M territotry. It shouldn't be too high.
  12. Absolutely, I watched some of Bailey's stuff, he has a nice shot. I'm all about signing him and O'Connor should we have the opportunity.
  13. They have no reason to lose that game. They have too much talent to lose to a line of D'Amigo-Schaller-Deslauries (as an example). Unless they just totally give up and sit Kessel, JVR, Reilly and half their roster.
  14. Honestly, he's always been very humble from the day he was drafted. He has enough money to likely walk away. He might not want to deal with pain for the rest of his life. It is a very honorable trait that few have. Good for him to go out on his terms.
  15. Where is the Willis retirement post coming from?
  16. Offensive: Carl Soderberg, Jaromir Jagr, Michal Frolik, Matt Beleskey, Andrej Sekera, Johnny Boychuk Secondary: Brad Richardson, Vladimir Sabotka Goalies: Michal Neuvirth I think for various reasons there are guys like Frolik, Sobotka that could really help this team while still in their mid to late 20's. I have reservations on Beleskey as this is his first 20 + goal season. Neuvirth, Niemi and Dubnyk are the creme de la creme of the unrestricted goalie market and I'm not really sold on anyone there. Via Trade: Offensive: Ryan O'Reilly, Goalies: Jonathan Bernier
  17. Man, that tear jerked me. What an awesome thing. Go Duncan Keith. Props on that! I love hockey above and beyond all else. *Edits, except my girlfriend.
  18. I've been impressed with Varone since late last season. I love how he plays and he stuck with it to put it in past Hammond last night. It wasn't pretty, but he just gets it. He's also humble. Grigorenko seems to have grown up a lot this season and you could tell in his post game after his first call-up game.
  19. Arizona won last night, adding some distance. Nice showing overall by Mike Smith. Now if Edmonton could win a game or three.
  20. Not to be a hater but Antti Niemi is not the answer. Hes too slow and just doesn't fit that well. Id so rather just bring back Neuvirth. Younger, and cheaper Pominville is a UFA? Thats very interesting.
  21. This trade of the four yesterday seemed the most obvious. He was playing very well and he had played his way onto the trade market. It makes sense for the Islanders with the lack luster performance of Johnson, though his last 3-4 starts have been more encouraging. Either way they got an additional asset in a weak goalie market. It seemed to me that Murray in some cases found good fits for these four guys and let the assets be a little more flexible. I was surprised Flynn was traded.
  22. Time to fire Ted Nolan. Enjoy. Mitchell's return was terrible, IMO.
  23. I'm okay with Flynn moving on, He's been a consummate professional on the ice and in the locker room. Those kind of guys can be replaced with Larsson, and others. We're still waiting on the Neuvirth, Stewart, Meszaros, Benoit arena. Unless an unusual move comes forth on Ennis, I don't see anything but the regular cast of moves between now and 3:00PM EST.
  24. Connolly costing two seconds just tells you that Chiarelli is trying to not lose his job. That's a terrible trade for Boston IMO.
