We're good with that initial list IMO. I'm a big fan of Babcock, Tipett, McLellan, in that order. It's going to take a lot for Richardson to win the job as I truly think there will be an established NHL x's and o's coach brought in. We'll see what happens though.

If he was going to be fired, then that's fine fire him right away. It's more expedient to do it for him in the short term than waiting it out. It gives Nolan a chance to observe the market and start interviewing. Regardless if that's at the NHL level or not. He is a good person, and a good veterans coach. This team needs to change the way things are done and it starts with a complete saturation down effect from the front office to the head coach. The lack of communication says it all to me. There should be a clear extension from Murray to Nolan and to the players.

Amazing response! lol That's called saving face, there is some grey area in media responses. Welcome to sports.

I'm honestly not bothered or upset. I saw the writing in the sand a ways back and that's just my opinion. He was a placeholder. Nothing more nothing less. He did some great things and had flaws like every NHL coach. That's about it.

I'm excited to watch some of the playoffs this year. Calgary, Winnipeg, Minnesota. I'm rooting for an under dog all the way. Hopefully Chicago is obliterated! :D Though thank you Jonathan Toews for your 46 second miracle outburst. Obviously I'm stoked for the draft lottery in 6 days, but the playoffs are really interesting and all the match-ups are neat.

Wow, I am absolutely in love with the video of Rantanen. Not that he's going to last after 7, but boy he would be an awesome talent to add similar to Zacha or others. The size, the way he skates is simply amazing. Daniel Sprong was impressive too.

What if Eichel Decides to Return to BU Next Year?
Rasmus_ replied to Dave Dryden's topic in The Aud Club
He'll be in the line-up game 1. As would Connor McDavid. He has nothing left to prove at BU. I know right, I get it. But, there's no way he goes back. It sucks he didn't win the NCAA Championship, but he did everything in a single season you could hope to aspire too. It's a comparable (minus winning) to Carmelo Anthony. Moving on up. -

http://www.trendingbuffalo.com/sports/buffalo-sabres/first-look-sabres-opening-night-line-combinations/ Interesting, though they don't have something with McDavid. Tasteless! Also absolutely in no blue hell do I want that smurf Niemi in net.

LOL, man even the reporters are ready for this to end and to get McDavid.

Personally I feel like the movie The Purge, we as fans have been through the wood shredder, through the in-complacency and ups and downs of two seasons. Through the night we've come to the point where all of that is shed including the crime of rooting against our team all season. But, we've bottomed out and gotten on the other side and a new day has come up. Looking forward to Connor McDavid, because this team is justified in doing its due diligence to slice and dice the roster down to the bones only to watch it regrow. I'm ready to go forward and I personally apologize for my "tankist" attitude. I'm ready to root for this team like I did in 2006 up to game 7, and so on and so forth!

I hit it at exactly about a 30% chance out of the various times. 5 out of 15.
-
Until we're picked out next Saturday i'm all about believing that we'll get McDavid. Sorry. I have faith this time.
-
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! It's over, finally! Secure 30th place! God that was terrifying.

The Jackets are 13-1-1 in their last 15, have a goaltender scorching hot, an elite PK and an all world talent in Johansen. I hope its over in the first 10 minutes.
-
Completely agree with you. Plus, I'm amped to see the Winnipeg fans go nuts when the puck drops in their building. When you blow your chances against Edmonton when it means the most, you shouldn't be defending your cup. :P
-
Just as a heads up, what are the other defensemen that you prefer to him. I'm trying to get more prepared, but have to admit I've been so focused on the top of the draft talent overall. Just a couple of names that I can do my own research on?
-
Ready to move-on here. I don't have much more of a reason, but I'd love a clean slate starting with next season. My sentiments exactly. I would prefer overpaying Babcock rather than a Dan Bylsma though. TBH. We'll see what happens.

I obviously see the movement with the puck. I was just wondering if there's anything else that I missed on the YouTube watches.
-
Definitely nominate, "Creepy Mike Weber" for the win!
-
I see Kylington is slipping to the mid teens to early 20's (in mock drafts) if he does fall that far would he be worth adding. I am not familiar with his play aside from a few YouTube clips.

As I quoted in the Calgary v Arizona thread, it will be a very trying next 4 days. I hope Pittsburgh is bounced. :D
-
Its going to be a long 5 days until we know for sure lol.

He should definitely be in open competition with Cody McCormick for the bottom line job as far as I'm concerned. While Cody is signed for 2 more years at 1.5M figure, I just don't see the point of having him but as a bench or 13th or 14th forward. With what Johan Larsson has done, he should have the chance to come into camp to compete and make the team regardless whether as a C or LW. If people believe Johan Larsson is a top 6 forward their crazy. Top 9, that would be debatable. He's a good fit on the third line or fourth definitely. He should be on the team as should Deslauriers.
-
I think he's an ideal third line center, and is showing the brass that he belongs in Buffalo in that potential role. He has the upside to play it depending on the line mates perfectly. We'll see what happens, a top 6 role seems a little less likely IMO.
