  1. From a post on another website, I saw that Rinne might be skating with the team again.
  2. I see MacTavish drafting one or the other between McEichel if he's in the top 2, regardless. Hanifen would be a bigger need for their team long term, but we all know that whoever gets McDavid, the other team will draft Eichel. Konecny regardless of his lack of size, is someone I would love to have at 25 or 27. The other position can vary between White, Bittner, Sprong and others.
  3. +1. What will he really do for this team. He'd be an upgrade fourth line center over a healthy McCormick? If they cover 4.5M of his salary and take Hodgson, eh...maybe.
  4. Pronman* tidbit on Top Prospects game: Not on McDavid, but one of my favorites in the 1st round. Travis Konecny, C, Ottawa-OHL Konecny was put on a line with Connor McDavid and while that will help make anyone look good, Konecny was creating in his own right. His multi-goal night aside, he looked like one of the best players on the ice, if not the best. He has great speed and work ethic, which helped him make plays in both ends, but he also possesses pretty good vision and was able to create plays for his line. He hasn't blown people away this season the way some may have hoped, but he showed his massive potential. In my opinion, even though I don't think he'll be picked in that range, he's a top-half-of-the-first-round prospect.
  5. I totally forgot about Turris, I should have looked that one up.
  6. Good stats based analysis thanks. I guess when I see him play, I see someone who has continued to develop, while not an elite player, someone who will put up or shut up every game. Moves the puck, plays above average defense and has the ability to play the second or third line all while at 23-24.
  7. One can look at St Louis as an organization who is paying their current third line center 7M while only on the third line. That just has to do with their line depth with Lehtera really stepping in and exceeding all possible expectations. I would take O'Reilly for the Sabres and run, however it depends on the ability to retain him for multiple years.
  8. Kane and Reimsdyk, in my opinion is the clear cut answer as posted above. Kane was the clear cut #1.
  9. Realistic look at possibilities. Sole based on what we have in stock. Moulson - Ennis - Flynn Girgensons - 2015 1st - Gionta Foligno - Reinhart - Hodgson Deslauriers - McCormick - Mitchell Bench (Options): Ellis, Varone, Larsson, Grigorenko, Carrier Myers - Gorges Ristolainen - Zadorov Pysyk - Addition Bench: Weber, McCabe Neuvirth Veteran addition Gone: Chris Stewart Drew Stafford Pat Kaleta Zac Dalpe Tyson Strachan Andrej Meszaros Andre Benoit Jonas Enroth Matt Hackett Nick Petrecki Drew Bagnall It would be nice to add someone like O'Reilly to the mix who is in his prime. But, as Murray was recently quoted, he feels Myers is part of the solution and not the problem. So we'll see. It all depends on what happens in the next 6 weeks prior to the deadline. Something unusual no one saw coming will happen I bet. I can easily see another Fasching type move made.
  10. Pretty much how I feel, except watching the games, are really hard. I like viewing the progress though at the lower levels more. 35 more games until this nightmare of a downhill spiral will be over. It would be nice to see Strachan sent down and Pysyk up for the rest of the season.
  11. I would do that in a heart beat. Though I'm high on O'Reilly, the question really is will he be open to sign, unless he's 100% set on going to UFA. He has things that this team is missing and no offense to Grigorenko, he's got the ability now.
  12. Konecny please and thank you. May you slip like the wind through other GM's fingers. Bittner looks like a good fits too.
  13. Prayers are with you and your family. Good luck Cody.
  14. I definitely agree, there are opportunities to move one, with Minnesota also being interested potentially. I cannot imagine him preferring Cam Ward and his contract to Enroth/Neuvirth.
  15. Okay, well I was being lenient on Moulson, Ennis, and mainly Myers.
  16. Please trade or waive the following: McCormick, Stafford, Stewart, Hodgson, Foligno, Meszaros, Strachan, Benoit. Listen to offers on: Neuvirth, Enroth, Pysyk. That is all.
  17. He's a train wreck waiting to happen, but it's a different reaction than having settled for Schwartz I guess. Definitely a drastically different voice in the room that previously acknowledged.
  18. There really are examples of this every year where guys are voted in as starters who are more likely reserves. It is what it is. I love it personally, though it is funny that a guy of Zemgus' pedigree would be the choice. Weird things happen all the time in sports. It's good for the atypical NHL viewer to get a look at someone they might not familiarize themselves with. Zemgus is taking it in stride as he always does. Though I stated just above that I loved that he's getting voted in, I can definitely appreciate that point of view.
  19. I think Calvin Pickard is a heck of a goalie. Not to the talent level per say of Jake Allen or even Bernier, but I wouldn't mind trying to acquire him.
  20. Murray and the front office has to decide at least in the interim who to go with from Neuvirth or Enroth, that I agree with. If you're trading Ennis/Myers then you have to encompass the right return. I would think that it's more likely the expiring contracts of Stafford or Stewart. However, Stewart's play has basically plummeted his value and he is likely not retained. He'll walk easily. Stafford, as I have mentioned in previous posts is pointless on this roster. I don't view him as needed for leadership with Moulson, Gionta, Gorges and eventually Ennis on the present roster. Depending on what a team feels they can use him in, I would ship him in a heartbeat. Cya, buh bye.
  21. Honestly, I think its the veterans who've pushed them forward. Also complete collapses of opponents. They're competing most games, which is something.
  22. That's great. Mine is that snow should be gone by Monday when NY hits 52-55 in Rochester. Otherwise, yeah....going through the motions.
  23. Seeya Stewart. Your production will be "missed". Seeing that it's been on a milk carton all season, byeeeeeeeeeeee.
