I’m sure one of us can dig up a quote from Portillo about him wanting to be a Sabre.

What did the Flyers ever do to Putin?

I’d send them a 3rd for Kane. Maybe could be talked into our 2nd. He’s a great player, but he’s a rental till proven otherwise.

Senators Goalie Matt Murray says No to a Sabres Trade

Well ***** him! -
This is true. I was responding to the ability to sign MAF for 2 years at $10M per. Cap space isn’t the most important consideration we should we thinking about here.
-
From a salary cap issue, it certainly wouldn’t handcuff them in coming years. That said, that “cap space” (unlike the NFL) is real money and would need to leave Terry’s checking account. He’s the one making the financial decisions, not KA.

I think your making a mountain of an assumption here. Just because he was on a team that won a SC with scrub goalies certainly doesn’t mean he thinks this is the way to go. That’s like saying you can win a Super Bowl with a scrub QB just because Trent Dilfer won one. Is it possible to win a SC with scrub goalies? Absolutely. Is it likely? Absolutely not. Adams isn’t an idiot. Of course he knows the path is easier with stellar goaltending. Did he happen to trade for the best goalie in college hockey by accident?

Sabres Re-Sign Craig Anderson to 1 Year 1.5 Million AAV Extension
kas23 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
It’s been a few years, but there was a time UPL was thought of as the best amateur goalie prospect in the world. Then he has his hip surgeries and it’s been downhill since. Who knows what will become of Levi. I just hope JA can sign a 1B goalie for a 4-5 year contract. If either UPL or Levi think they have it in them, they will have opportunity to beat him out to become goalie 1A. -
The timing of this isn’t a coincidence.

Sabres Re-Sign Craig Anderson to 1 Year 1.5 Million AAV Extension

And take an 80-90% paycheck cut? I’d say thanks, but no thanks and shuffle back down to Florida. -
Good question. I know this was probably said in jest, but Congress are elected officials. They may have different rules. Their staff are definitely Federal employees.
-
The takes on Nylander in here are fantastic.
-
In fact, I think the Sabres targeted Krebs partially based on Patrick’s word. So, there precedent and would believe they would pick his brain again.
-
Accepting payment as a Federal employee is an extreme pain in the ass. It is true there are nominal limits we can accept. It as strict as if you are bringing pizza in for a lunchtime employee-only meeting, each employee has to pay in with cash. If we go to a restaurant, separate checks for everyone. And we’re not just talking about Federal employees at-risk for being bribed (judge, law enforcement, IRS, etc). We’re talking everyone. That we can’t even buy stuff for internal colleagues is ridiculous.

I hope this is real. But it sounds like someone has been reading Sabrespace.

2022 NHL Draft Combine: May 30th-June 4th, Buffalo NY

You almost have to interview Lambert. If anything, just to do a postmortem on what exactly happened and why. Would be good information to have in grading/interpreting prospects in coming years. -
Offseason Gameplan 2022 - Solving the goaltending system wide.

KO is the de facto Captain. He’ll be presented a contract, but it will be on the low side for limited term. Nevertheless, it’ll be his decision whether he wants to stay or not, not necessarily KAs. -
I don’t think he’ll want to go home. It’s obvious he’s not going to make the Sabres roster. That’s 100% unrealistic. However, he did sign his contract with us, which he didn’t have to do. He could’ve played another season in Sweden minus the contract.
-
My guess is that the way he was handled last season didn’t sit well with him. He may realize he’ll be in a better place if he is playing closer to his ultimate goal.

Take careful notes on the number of pull-ups for each individual and report back. -
Amerks bound? Can’t remember if he still has a SHL contract to honor.

Fun fact: “Take me Home, Country Roads” was actually inspired by Clopper Rd in Montgomery County, MD, a county right outside of DC. While it is no longer a “country road”, it was back then. I don’t think this is the angle of them playing this song at a Caps game though.

Sabres Announce They Signed 2021 Second Round Pick Kisakov to an ELC

I couldn’t even bulk up until well into my 30s. Wright just didn’t stay on. So, agreed, frame matters a lot. Of course, I wasn’t signed to a professional sports team where it would’ve been my job to gain weight. Maybe I could’ve done it, but I still don’t have a large frame. That genetic.
