Well I'll throw my two pennies in. I'm 45 this Nov and no biological children. I had always assumed I'd be a terrible father. I became entangled with this woman in my late 20's that had a 4 yr old daughter. The mother was bat crazy but I loved that little girl soooooo much that I put up with that psycho for 7 yrs! She's into her 20's now and busy with her life. I rarely see her anymore. I miss her like crazy. Turns out I was a so-so Dad.

I love those perspectives. There is nothing that a field of wildflowers couldn't cure. I would've been buck naked running right through there!

He is better than D-lo. He still isn't as good as we need and I expect we will eventually get to replace him. I still love me some Burning Eyes and I'll miss him when he's gone.

If there would have been another inch of filet on those buggers they would have been porterhouse. That filet was so tender and the fat melted in your mouth. I usually stay away from fat unless it's the filet side of a cut. I wish I'd paid closer attention to Fred's lessons on beef. If I had I would raise some and butcher and age my own.

I'm searing two giant well aged T-bone on the grill. These things have my eyes popping out of head! I have a mix of green beans, onions, and sweet banana peppers topped off with spinach in foil to roast on the side. Everything is from the gardens. I've been doing so well that I've been stuffing myself with homegrown. Squash, cukes, peppers, beans, peas, beet greens, spinach...who have I forgotten?

I slept for the first time in two nights last night and I managed to stay away from the Friday pile of donuts in favor of my fruit and veg. Very small wins but they still make me a winner ;)

I've been on prednisone for two days now for autoimmune garbage. It is seriously with my head. Dark Blue right out of the blue. Some of the darkest notions I've ever considered. Then a little later I'm fine. Downright spooky.

The 2nd Annual Great SS Meetup! Saturday March 10th, 1pm

Mrs. iT and I will attend that game whether we get in on Tom's seats or not. She's not a SSer(loyal hockey fan though) so those that are should have first shot. What section are the seats? She's a ticketing person so there's always a chance that someone owes her a favor and we could get in close by. I couldn't get as drunk as I would have liked to in Roch so I could get excited for that alone. Giggidy. -

Sweet! TY! By the way, how many tickets are available for that game? I had a great time at the Rochester meetup. -

Do you know if it's a direct flight or connecting? My brother lives a few hours out of Denver and would be thrilled to find a direct flight. -
I got an email from photobucket last week saying I needed to "update my account" if I wanted them to continue hosting my photos. "Updating my account" was paying $400/year for them to host. Uhhhhhhhh photobucket, those pictures are all garbage. Stick them up your ass. Go find some other chump to try and strong arm $400 from. While your at it you can also go yourself.

Rodriques was a good move by Murray. Extending him is a good move by JBot. He had the potential to be a damn good call up. Even if we make the playoffs. I think he could be effective.

I'm no expert on anything besides my own body. Carbs are a killer for me. I have days where my only carbs are from beers at night. Two pbj sandwiches are only offering 14g protein for a whole lot of other grams of stuff you don't need. Split your calorie up into smaller more frequent intakes. I can't stand the term "meals". It tricks peeps into eating more calories than they need. My first AM meal is 3 eggs/fresh fruit. Second is whole grain meat sandwich/fruit/veg. Leftover meat/veg from dinner. MM. meat/veg dinner. Beers. I stay as far away from table sugar as I can get. If I feel I need it I have another MM during the day. If you eat enough clean calories you won't need to supplement vitamins. If you feel a need to then a good quality protein replacement will include them.

This movie friggin blew my mind when I was a kid. Rewatched it as an adult and it was still good.

I have a hard time getting enough clean calories in my work week. I've been using Muscle Milk since my fiasco with the pneumonia. I only use one scoop at about 15g protein in almond milk. I'll have a second helping at some point in the day if my progress in the gym seems stymied or I'm having a harder than usual time at work. I should also add that I have 3 eggs, 25g meat, 25g meat, said MM and another 25-30g meat in a workday. Very slight on carbs and I'm the worlds okayest gardener so I eat 10 servings of fruit/veg a day. Maybe more. Losing muscle mass is no good. It makes your liver work harder and can lead to fatty liver. Same as drinking too much.

I buy them whenever I find them. They're hard to find. They're from the fifth rib where the chuck and eye muscle overlap. I don't remember the real name of the muscle groups and Fred isn't available to ask. There's only two chuck eyes per animal and depending on the individual they may make it as one cut or the other. If you find a butcher that has them on a regular basis then you've found a damn good butcher, my friend.

Chuck eye has the potential to be nearly as good at a third the price. Any meat lover would be able to eyeball the amount of chuck to eye in the cut. The trick is finding a place that has it. I grew up on a small beef farm. Eye is the best. Dad didn't mess with the ribs though. They went to the pigs. I smoked a full rack two weekends ago with cherry wood. Giggidy.

^^ It's like an old proverb I heard as a boy. "Give me security clearance now And I'll gladly pay you later.." True story BTW

I had a close friend/old timer in my trade who would get all sorts of giddy when the job site got chaotic. Everyone else was lamenting the extra work and old Dougie would be doing a little dance and howling loudly about "freeeeeee money!" Why is old Ted crying anyways? Fair shot? Give me a break, Ted. You could have simply said "no thanks".

Tons of cardio? I've got that covered all day everyday. Literally. The anti beer diet was anti iT so I've altered my work day diet. My stomach growls a lot but my abs are recognizable again. We as a nation simply eat too much. I'm not saying there's no merit to the argument that the human body will process alcohol before anything else. Im saying between Iron Working, the gym and maintaining 9 acres I burned enough calories and replenish enough with a sensible diet to enjoy some beers in the tub. I am currently doing that exact thing right now!! Lost enough weight this week to buckle my 30 waist jeans without sucking in. Giggidy.

"Sitting on the back of my time fishing through the city phone lines. Certainly flirtingly, til my back's out of line. Who today will be knocked off? Who controls all the chalked off? Will they let you see? Will you believe?"

Not as awesome as job site porta potty political graffiti. It's a good thing it's all anonymous because there would be violent exchanges.

No beer at all today. My gut has been getting fat so I'm back in the gym and cutting out beer. I've been drinking tequila and a squeeze of lime on ice all night. Not sure if I'll consume more or less alcohol this way but I'll cut some calories for sure.
