I think the Amerks could take the Marlies in a playoff series. I think Rochester’s relentless style of play would wear a team down pretty quickly. They’re doing a good job possessing the puck and it seems like they’re doing an especially good job in the 2nd with the long change. FWIW his stats mirror Phil Varone’s.

It was a good game. Nylander picked up his own rebound on his goal. Tied 2-2 until 26 sec left in the 2nd. Baptiste took a BS hooking call with 5 min left in the third. They still nearly tied it. Marlies have some big dudes and can shoot well. Amerks are smaller with more skill and are freakin honey badgers at times. Huge stretch in the 2nd they kept the heat on in Marlies zone and kept them from the change. Bailey is back and right at it hitting every legit check he could. A loss but a close game with the #1 team.

Whether he is injured or something else hasn’t stopped these guys from winning. They beat Utica tonight 3-1.if you’re not keeping score then I’ll tell you that they have lost 2 in reg, 2 in SO and 1 in OT to Utica. Utica. We would be #1 in the league if it weren’t for them. I miss Wednesdays due to class so I can’t give a firsthand of this one but these guys have been playing unrelenting hockey. I’m stoked to see what kind of game #1 Marlies vs #5 hot as hell Amerks gives us. Marlies fans usually turn up in big numbers. I hope Moose brings his brass knuckles.

The theater I go to has big ass recliners. I can’t and won’t go back to open seating. Got my ticket from fandango tonight. I’m lucky enough to have some time off and snatched a prime spot for Monday’s matinee before class. I pledge to reveal no spoilers!

I purposely allowed the snow to accumulate on the top of my head for that photo op near the end. I was really hoping to be pinned for an interview wherein I could associate what I was doing with some of the bravest people alive.One of my brothers has the pic. I really don’t care for McDermott the man. Seems like a nice enough fellow but reeks too much of Richie Cunningham for my taste. The playoff naivety fits the stereotype I’ve created in my head all too well. I assume he is also a smart fellow so there is a good chance he could learn better clock management. Either way dumb luck runs out eventually and prayers aren’t enough to save you. Will he still be winning when that happens?

We had a great time at the game. One brother from Texas and two from m up North. One brother absent. We were soaked by OT but what an experience!

I do this thing where I sing an improvised song to my cat. Usually about him being like Forrest Gump or Rainman. He eventually joins in yeowling along. We’re actually quite good.

Visiting family in Boston for the holiday so we went down to City Hall plaza that go skating. I haven’t been on ice in 20 yrs and had the dullest skates I’ve ever been on but I still got it baby! Even got a few “Go Sabres” as I flew around. Best part.... The friggin Stanley Cup is here at the park! It is absolutely beautiful....we don’t really have time to wait in line for a picture though. Guess I’ll have to wait for a couple years when it’s in Buffalo...

Nylander got blasted by Catenacci last night in the third. Fight ensued with Catenacci getting his ass kicked. Overall Nylander seemed far tougher than last year. Looks a lot bigger too. Stayed on his feet up until the hit. Rang a nice shot of the pipe early in the first. I’m not saying you’re wrong. He’s a 24 yr old LHD that’s been on a really good run the last 4 games. He’s fast and tough and doesn’t seem to be afraid to get involved in offense. If he keeps it up why wouldn’t they give a shot to make the team next year? He wasn’t listed in the scratches so I must have just missed him. Good. Beautiful Erica just confirmed it.

Maybe those concussions are healed? Maybe Toronto wasn’t a good fit? Maybe the new system fits his style? He’s had a good start regardless of the reason. 7 pts in 9 games. I approve. What’s your opinion? Does he have a shot at resurrection?

Guhle had a rough start but has settled down a bit and I can now see the potential in the guy. CJ and Crisco have impressed me and even with limited minutes Karabacek is far better than what I saw feom him last season. Nelson is still bad. Very much. How did he ever get NHL minutes?
