    I appreciate the concern but FTR, I'm fine IMO. I'm more worried about my wife's well being more than mine. She is not only my best friend, but the best I've ever had. This is nothing more than my doctor trying to scare me into quitting drinking. She is right though and if my drinking habits have caused this problem with my liver, then I owe it to my wife to alter Those habits.

    So I had some blood work done two days ago. My doctor called this morning because my numbers with the liver were out of whack. I'm getting an ultra sound of my abdomen done right after xmas to apparently look for tumors on my liver. I'm really scared to tell my wife. Should I tell her before or wait until I've had it done and see what they say about it? I really don't want to ruin xmas for everyone.

    This is a fair observation. How many points you put up vs how many you let up. There's no doubt his best days are gone, but is there enough to fill his void? Experience is a big point in the Gionta debate.

    So Timmy took the Sabres to arbitration for more money, then got bought out for less money, played in Russia and left because Russia sucks, then went to Finland? where it still sucks so he left and came back and now the Canes have his rights and loaned him to Rochester. What's so perplexing in all of this?

    This game against St Johns really sucked until half way through the second. Terrible hockey. SOG was 9-8 with 13 min left. Amerks with the lead 2-1 end of 2.

    I haven't been in ice for many years now. I've been playing a bit on wheels. Had to lose the brakes though. I was fast n furious IIRC. I'm sure I'm not RC, but I'm in.

    Dude, you're right around my age and have a toddler. Ambitious is your life for the next dozens of years. Go bigger. You could host old man hockey camp to help maintain the right amounts of beer/dad ratio that keeps things chugging along.

    Fred has been on my mind lots lately. While contemplating the vast numbers of folks who showed up for his calling hours(I'd say at least 200), I began to recognize the connection between my successes in my trade with the learned(or inherited) philosophies of Fred. Uneducated, yet well spoken. Foul mouthed, yet respectful. Hard assed, yet kind. He didn't care who you are or where you came from. "Do you want to be deliriously happy?". You certainly were, Fred. I am too.

    I love the optimism around here. He will be a decent player one day. Didn't you guys see him get squeezed out all over the ice tonight? If his body can catch up we'll have a good one.

    I just want to touch on what Ink was lamenting about with attendance. The Florida years were aweful. In every way. I'm hopeful that things are turning around. Waaaay busier than those non affiliated years. Hell they've been surviving Lovely's tenure. A winning product will fill the place like it alsways has. I have hope.(for both teams) Also the girl that carries around the mic and does the marketing stunts is absolutely beautiful.
