I wouldn’t want to trade Peterka, Quinn, Benson, Tuch, or Levi. I wish they’d go beyond a fringe trade and offer up Mittelstadt for a veteran with some grit and playoff experience.

The problem isn’t Granato as much as it is Adams. The roster he’s been given is inadequate to compete and that’s on Adams for not acquiring a veteran goalie, a top 4 D, and competitive bottom 6 forwards. Instead he resigned Okposo, Girgs, and Jost, and signed Clifton and E Johnson.

Granato will say he liked their compete in the 3rd and it’s something to build on (before they get their ***** handed to them in Boston). Another excuse to rinse and repeat.

Coaching my son’s peewee hockey team as we won the league championship 20 years ago. All the kids celebrated like they won the Stanley Cup. As a fan, game 7 AHL playoff game between Rochester and Syracuse. Game was a sellout, and in overtime the Amerks won with Ryan Miller in net.
