    Because Marty is filling in for Ray, and Kaleta works in the Sabres organization as a youth hockey ambassador, and coaches the Jr Sabres U13 team. So he’s available and on the payroll.

    Nope. Technically Chicago has more wins which is the tiebreaker, thus 31st.

    The problem with them winning is then they’ll act like things are better and nothing needs to change. Then after a couple of wins they’ll go into another slump. Rinse and repeat.

    Why? Reimer gave up 5 goals and lost the shootout in his last appearance. It was a good spot to give Levi a game.

    It was a back-to-back early game, UPL played the previous night, Levi was playing well in the AHL, and the Amerks weren’t playing that day.

    I wish the players would stop the high five down the bench after every goal. Raise your stick, hug the other guys on the ice, and line up for the faceoff.

    They’ve got to take Power off the power play. He has so many clear chances to shoot the puck but hesitates and then passes it off.

    Cossa is the first goalie in NHL history to come into game in relief and win in a shootout in his first NHL game.

    Trade him to Philly. They’ll motivate him by putting Garnet Hathaway on his wing. Either play better or else…

    Of course if I was making millions a year in my 20s on a guaranteed contract I don’t think I’d bother me so much, but if it did I would work harder to end it.
