Sam Reinhart 100% played center his post-draft season tryout. I drove to Raleigh specifically to see him play and was pissed Teddy played him only like 8 minutes. Sam Reinhart 100% caught a lot of ***** for “not playing physical enough” and being “weak on his skates/can’t stand up.” Sam Reinhart 100% was the best netfront Sabre since Vanek and nobody has come close to him since. He’s the one that got away. We dicked him on his contract timeline because we haven’t had a real front office since Darcy ***** Regier.

I really like Jake Sanderson because his dad was my favorite Sabre while he was on the team. I think I’ll throw on his dad’s jersey tonight and give this one a go. Lord knows sitting out wasn’t getting us anywhere.

It depends on what the incident was in the first place and how many and how much of an impact did it have on the organization, but yes I would be interested.

I would say if you only like hockey because of the NHL you aren’t actually a hockey fan, you just like the NHL.

The thing that bothers me most is that the issues Levi is having this year he showed last year, even though we played well. His rebounding was atrocious and he struggled to follow the puck then, just like now. Nothing has changed. I’m not even sure if Kevyn added any water to his magic beans.

It is what it is. I already don’t like Terry so that fact wouldn’t change. I wouldn’t be following the league at that point anyway.

It’s at the point where if the Sabres didn’t exist I wouldn’t watch any professional hockey. That wasn’t the case before. The rest of the league used to be relevant to the Sabres, but that’s no longer the case. Most the players I know from other teams were once prospects that we talked about drafting, but once they’re moved I’m none the wiser. I still love hockey and it’s still my favorite sport, but the Sabres are a struggle for me. I just want them to be good so bad. I want to share that with my son like my dad did for me. I’ve wondered a lot over the last ten months if there’s even a point in it. Without this board I’m not sure that I’d have the desire to watch games at all.

This is literally hockey 101. It applies at every level from mites to pros. If you trust your goalie you play better. It’s why teams build from the net out.

Genny shows up in really weird places. I was living in the mountains of western NC and they started carrying 30 packs of Genny at the local food lion. Not only was it strange to see Gennys, but it’s also the only time I’ve seen 30 packs down south.

Something I’ve been thinking about is when would Dahlin have ever been a leader? He was consistently the youngest player on all of his teams growing up. Was immediately in the NHL as the youngest player. Even now he’s still incredibly young. None of those scream leadership opportunities. It would not/does not surprise me if that’s not a role he’s accustom to playing.

If the old guard doesn’t like it, they probably shouldn’t have created the system. It wasn’t 12 year olds spending thousands of dollars and hours to get a chance at a scholarship. I just read an article in the athletic interviewing top NCAA football recruits and almost to a t everyone one of them said they had no idea of their NIL arrangements but guess who did most of their legwork? Their parents or the agents their parents hired.

Did Thompson used to be really good at hockey? He wasn’t a top player for the USNTDP. He wasn’t a top player in college. He has spent most of his pro career looking lost. He’s had a couple of good seasons now, but his consistency and effort isn’t always there. I know I’m far from the only one who wondered how they were so wrong about Tage breaking out. What’s to say that wasn’t a blip?

Just checked the score. Guess I can go back to watching games now.
