I was just thinking how when I was in high school I’d fantasize about going to games with my friends once we were all 21 and having some pops before, during, and after the game. I’m about to move home 14 years later now and I couldn’t care less about catching one. Disappointing to say the least.

I don’t disagree more fault lies with Adams, but all of our players have regressed since last year’s run to 9th. I don’t have confidence that they won’t similarly regress at the beginning of next season. Yes, this is mostly on KA and Donny, but it’s on the players as well.

Absolutely nothing meaningful has happened during that time. It makes sense it’s all indistinguishable.

Who wants to waste their Friday night on a Sabres game? Put out a better product and the arena will be full any time on any day.

I’m usually with this line of thought but after last seasons late improvement led to absolutely nothing this season, its hard to believe it matters.

This is my thinking as well. It’s all the same. These teams have been so devoid of character and tenacity. My default setting isn’t to simply like a person just because they wear a jersey of a team I support. I won’t rule out liking anyone in the future, but these teams have done nothing for me so why would I like the parts that make them up?

To be fair, it was only supposed to be old people in that thread. And in my defense, I forgot about Lafontaine. I was thinking Turgeon was the last HoF skater, which at this point has been 30+ years.

Most of the board has probably never seen a hall of fame skater in a Sabres uniform before. Pretty easy yes.

Imagine every year your company give every employee a paid week off, but if you’re a top earner you have to go have mandatory fun. Then imagine that every single year. There’s players that want to be there. Get them there instead.

I’ve found generally speaking if you stay off of social media and avoid certain cable news networks that “PC *****” doesn’t really exist. Sure I see some silly Op-Eds in the NYT, but they’re no sillier than the Op-Eds in the WSJ.

I don’t actually have an issue with how the NHL went about this. As always, I hope the justice system can find the truth and can hold everyone accountable for their actions one way or the other.

I worry Mitts feels he got Reinhart’d on his contracts and is thinking he might as well see it out through FA, so you bring up a good point. Then again our prospect pool is flush with skilled wingers, it would almost force another move to bring in an experienced center. Two tricky trades is asking for a lot.

Levi should be playing games that are important and he’s much more likely to get that with Rochester. I hope he stays down there, too.
