I always wonder how much of this is actually true. These guys have all probably spent at least ages 12-18 playing under different coaches and systems. Not only that, they’re all professional hockey players so they much grasp the game to some point. I’m not saying it should be plug and play with a new coach, but I don’t think the Sabres next hire will be some revolutionary Mike McDaniels hockey wonk. I just hope there is a next coach relatively soon.

Quite frankly would eating half of Skinner’s contract even have any impact on our salary cap the next three seasons? We have plenty of space for the right parts.

You mean one of the only players to earn a contract extension will be mad if he doesn’t get a juicy contract like everyone else who DIDNT earn it? Colour me shocked!

Ship him off to get some experience! In five years we can bring back him and Sam as our crusty vets with Stanley Cups. KA thinking long term and I for one LOVE IT.

Steve Ott is one of those guys that some people absolutely LOVED. Can’t say he was a favorite of mine ever.

There shouldn’t be any perverse incentives towards awarding the #1 pick.

The legend is in the bottom corner for each team. They use different colors for each team as well. I don’t love it either.

Maybe I’m reading it wrong but I’m pretty sure we had virtually no attempts right in front whereas they had a significant amount of their attempts in front. I’d go a step further and say if they make it then miss the next season like the Bills did post drought I wouldn’t give a *****. Just get this damn thing off our backs.

How does any of this apply to bar league hockey? It’s already divided by skill. If a woman is good enough to skate in that division, nothing else really matters.

Just to play devils advocate here—when does defending a teammate cross over to defending a woman’s honor when you’re playing hockey?

The reasoning is there are fewer teams in the United States in the NHL than any other professional league. I think the league believes the US can support 30-32 teams. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibilities either, but I’d like to see them pump the breaks before going to 36 teams, which to me is the most logical number left for a while.

I don’t know why but I’m always surprised by the players in most men’s leagues. I guess there was always 1-2 questionable guys per team when I was growing up, but there seems like a much higher ratio of ***** in bar league. Possibly the booze.

8/10 if someone in men’s league waits around outside to continue an on-ice conversation it ends in blows. It’s hockey. You’re going to get chirped. I’ve played with many women significantly better than me and it was never an issue of gender. I’ve also played where I was the worst on the ice and I was the issue, and you best believe I was chirped.
