  1. Regarding the Eric Reid discussion a couple weeks back which was centered on his being singled out for testing: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/01/09/source-eric-reid-overstated-the-number-of-times-he-was-tested/ http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/01/09/nfl-union-agree-no-impropriety-on-eric-reid-ped-tests/
  2. Can one appreciate a once-in-a-few-years winning streak without being accused of stroking themselves?
  3. Kudos to you. Those people that get excited about sports/entertainment are so full of themselves.
  4. Being ultra-competitive world class athlete? I’ve been lucky enough to be behind the bench twice this year. Every one of them let’s out an F bomb as they come to the bench. It’s sports.
  5. Tied for fourth most points in the while being 26th in faceoffs. Would be nice to have an ace when you need one but maybe they aren’t all that important.
  6. The one that has “Jake” in the second sentence is McCabe. Did I get it right? Over the years McCabe has received much disparaging here and now folks can’t wait to get him back in the lineup. Patience with Guhle and every other prospect seems like a good idea.
  7. Didn’t the Sabres make a habit of comebacks during the winning streak?
  8. I made a point to show my buddy the reaction of the Sabres bench after the Larsson fight vs Philly. They were beside themselves.
  9. Let’s hope. He’s only got two weeks left to prove himself.
  10. If (big if) Beaulieu continues to play like he did last night they won’t ever get him out of the lineup. He was flying and was one of the best players out there. The fact that he’s a willing participant when things get rough is an added plus.
  11. The “Risto sucks” crowd does not know what to do with themselves. Disband maybe? The guy has been a machine. Can’t wait to see the next celly.
  12. Beaulieu is on FIRE tonight. Skating like a wild child.
  13. Doesn’t all that speak to how badly they wanted to get rid of a guy that produced on the ice?
  14. In general, rookie quarterbacks are not very good. That’s not breaking news. In Allen’s case, he has demonstrated that he is like most rookie qbs but also an absolutely supreme athlete. I don’t think that’s debatable. I am of the thinking that a 22 year old kid with unbelievable athleticism and a cannon for an arm particularly one that is reported to work hard, is bright enough and has leadership qualities, has plenty of growth as a qb to come. The idea that someone of his age and attributes won’t improve seems out there to me. I suspect some of those throws into people’s shins will find their way at least waist high next year and in years to follow. I’m excited to watch him this coming Sunday and with a few additions to the offense will be fired up to see what he brings next year.
  15. How many “one good game(s)” is that in a row? Risto doesn’t suck.
  16. Don’t you just hate people getting excited about their team winning 10 straight after years of being awful? It’s the worst!
  17. Is it also the physical scientist in you that has you believing that Pegs pushed the trade over the objections of Housley and Botterill?

    Memorabilia

Hoping to get them autographed by Robert and Gare at DC event 12/14.
  19. Absolutely. That’s not how one expects a professional in any field to go about their business.
  20. Coyotes defending with numbers....poorly.
  21. When Murray made the trade with Winnipeg he made mention that Kane and Bogo “are hard to play against”. Risto - very hard to play against.
  22. I haven’t looked at them but I’m worried about the underlying metrics. GO SABRES!!!
