Cecconi and Bryson are two guys I prefer not in the lineup. -

What are the 2023/24 Sabres' internal expectations
SABRES 0311 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Realistic expectation is make the playoffs, period. Looking at the future bottom six configuration. I have a strange, unsubstantiated feeling Greenway is not a long term member of the organization, KO’s days are numbered, and Girgs will be gone in the very near future. I think there is an expectation JJP and Quinn will take noticeable steps forward. Krebs needs to show he can play above the fourth line. Expect VO to either become a more well rounded player or fall off. I don’t see a middle ground. -
What have we learned from training camp so far?
SABRES 0311 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
The forward prospects seem to favor a fast paced style of play. They are north/south minded and already aren’t afraid to carry the puck. I would like to see how Benson does on the top line with TT. Maybe move Tuch with Cozens and Mitts. All I know is my eye test shows we have options. -
So, all we have right now is an instance in 2006 where he made players ride the bus in their gear? Anything in the last 17 years since to corroborate the bad guy labeling?
-
He seems to genuinely mean what he says about being happy in Buffalo so far. Reiterated his purpose to help on the defensive side of the game. Nice to see he understands his role and importance. Maybe he ends up with Dahlin and Muel with Power. We’ll see.

I agree, good things have to happen. This includes a few winning streaks and hot streaks in net. Likewise, a few bad things need to be tampered down. Eight game losing streak cannot happen. This offensive juggernaut we have needs to be able to transition to team defense when the puck is in our zone too.

I assume it’s just an inquiry. The Sabres have a lot of offensive capability. The fix is on keeping the puck out of our net.

This event and Babcock making Marner call out teammates when he was in a junior role is not coincidence to me. It seems Babcock tries to get people to do less than normal things. Either he is detached from reality or it's his way of imposing authority. Sort of a "no matter what, you will do as I say." Then again, I am not in the room, and I do not know the guy.

If a boss wants to get to know a more personal side of an employee they can arrange events that promote it or learn over time as the relationship develops. In all my years of being in different leadership and subordinate roles I have never encountered this and never heard it be promoted as a leadership tool. There’s a difference between a picture on a desk that is already physically accessible in the workplace and asking to gain access while holding a position of authority. The perceived position of authority to gain access to something one does not possess is a form of social engineering.

Yep. Babs needs therapy or something.

According to what I read, Babcock asked players to share photos off their phone to get to know them better. Absolutely weird.

When I first saw it I thought they were Xs and was confused. Then I saw a closer look and think it’s cool.
