ALL THE RHINOS!

I prefer you naked, GoDD, with nothing but a tinfoil hat covering your heads.

I think there was a Twilight Zone episode with this exact scenario.

This is a steal. Daley struggled in Chicago but he's got talent where Scuderi has zero talent. Idiotic move by Chicago. What's the point? Scuderi actually is paid $75K per for the next two years. Both contracts expire after next season. That's the best they could get? Wtf... McKenzie: PIT retains 1/3rd of Scuderi's salary in that CHI-PIT trade. That doesn't make it any better for me. You couldn't find a better player that is being paid around $2.2M?

Olofsson could be that type. But he's not going to have many fans among the diehards because he's small (under 6'). I'm a huge fan of Fasching. I think he's going to be the type that isn't necessarily a top-six forward but is a mainstay in your top six because of the way he plays and ability to benefit from the creators around him. I'm not a huge fan of Cornel or Karabacek. Or Connor Hurley. Bailey and Baptiste would be less "out of nowhere" since we've seen their big improvements the last few years, but they could get their shot within the next year/year and a half.

If he continues his current pace for the rest of the season then I think they immediately go long-term. If he levels out a bit I imagine they try to get him up until his last restricted year (but may fail in doing so and also risk alienating him). Erik Karlsson signed for 7 years at $45.5M as a 22-year-old dman coming off his entry-level deal just three years ago. That's $6.5M per. Oh, did I mention he signed that deal coming off his first Norris Trophy? Understanding inflation I don't think he should get more than what Karlsson got. He's not as good as Karlsson was (likely better defensively but Karlsson's among the best with the puck on his stick). Give him 8 years, $52M ($6.5M per) if you see enough throughout the rest of the season to commit definitively long-term. Editor's note: Erik Karlsson's agent is either an idiot or he loves Ottawa a lot. His contract is an outlier considering several other lesser and older dmen signed much richer contracts. Liger's original proposal seems fair. Don't hire Karlsson's agent.

I made the mistake of waiting to post this so I understand if it gets ignored, but I was watching the Kings are really hope the hiring of GMTM means we've got a future similar to them. GMTM takes pride in being a big-time draft nut. He is. He's made some picks in his first two drafts that kind of made people wonder what he saw that others didn't, but we'll see in time whether those were good moves... But the Kings have supplemented their trades and top-end talent with some great draft picks. Tanner Pearson is still young but an improving young talent. Drafted with the final pick of the first round in 2012. Tyler Toffoli is a budding star who they got with the 47th pick (second round) in 2010. Alec Martinez has a Stanley Cup-winning goal and has been a steady performer for them on the back end. 4th round (95th overall) in 2007. There are some other examples that are guys who have been great role players (like Kyle Clifford), but they've hit big one their later first or mid-round picks which can often be a crap shoot but is a key to continued success. Not only does it help you fill your roster long-term, but it's a huge help towards managing the cap. There's obviously some hope that we've dipped into that draft success by landing Hudson Fasching who they drafted in the 4th round (118th in 2013). Brendan Guhle (2nd round, 51st), Eric Cornel (2nd round, 44th), Vaclav Karabacek (2nd round, 49th), Brycen Martin (3rd round, 74th) and Victor Olofsson (7th round, 181st) are a few names that could end up playing well above their draft status. Everybody but Olofsson and Martin were guys that some questioned when the picks were made. Obviously another major key to the Kings players above ending up having success has been the coaching and stepping into a situation where their roles were clearly defined behind some Cup winners and great leaders... Hopefully by the time some of these guys are in the lineup they're stepping into a similar role.

Either my shorts shrunk a size or I'm watching the Sabres wear color on the road. So beautiful.

I think a big part of DoFP was to eliminate what had happened in previous films.

Today in Donald Trump's WTFactory: Unfortunately, Donald Trump was just issued a clean bill of health by his "long-time Doctor." He could be the healthiest president ever, per his doctor. Trump makes sure to thank his doctor... 's dead father for issuing him the clean bill of health. http://www.theverge.com/2015/12/14/10123368/donald-trump-health-doctor-report-heaven-protect-me

Good for you. Why do you feel others have to spend their money the same way you do? Seriously. Can you think of any legitimate reason for this? So many people say it but I've never heard a legitimate argument for the restriction.

I imagine it's cut and dry with the way they cut those shots and mentioned the four followers. They haven't shown Channing Tatum's Gambit yet.

They killed Will Smith off in a separate website where it says he was killed when the alien tech malfunctioned and exploded.

Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame. So should Barry Bonds. So should so many who took steroids.

The four are Psylocke (Olivia Yumm... I mean Munn), Magneto, Storm and Angel. I wish they would've kept that reveal for the movie, though.

Wait I missed a game yesterday? ;) (Appreciate the thread as always, WC)

Kind of off topic but it's ridiculous that the Steelers have had a total of three head coaches since 1969. The Bills have had 16 in that span. The longest time they've had three coaches for was from the middle of 1986 to 2003 (Marv from 1986-1997, Wade from 1998-2000 and Gregg Williams from 2001-2003).

I ranted above about pointless rules but I wouldn't wear a jersey that a player never wore themselves. Hopefully someday he will be wearing the royals, though.
-
With EJ as the full-time starter I think this team is 3-10 right now so we're definitely better off in that respect. It would be a bigger difference if we had won any games we "shouldn't have."

Roman has been inconsistent but just because they run a play with Sammy running downfield doesn't mean Tyrod has to throw it. I'd have to get a full view of the field but I doubt everybody just ran deep. Sammy was one of several options.
-
Everything except a play when given umpteen trillion opportunities to do so late in a close game today. I like Tyrod, but let's not act like he didn't fail to do his job when it counted today.

I'm a huge Mario Williams fan, but I think cutting him is a must this offseason. He's absolutely invisible out there. He had the big sack but that was more Bradford failing at his job than Mario succeeding at his. He will probably end up playing elsewhere and playing well but this scheme has made him useless. And I'm willing to say he's got big effort issues, too. I've held back on those after many others were calling him out for it, but there was a run play today where he seemed satisfied with containing the back instead of stopping him in the backfield. Forced him inside which is often the DEs responsibility in the run game, but he was within arms reach for a two-yard loss and it turned into a few yards.

He got to make the decision himself and chose Canada. His dad was a Canadian who played in the NHL.
