If it's a known established player I think it would go over well with the fans. Especially if they pick up another first at some point. But also: don't make decisions based on what the fans think. We're mostly stupid.

Only if it moved

Freeman - the league will want to have a city ready (with a stadium) so they can threaten relocation of struggling teams in order to guarantee public funding for said struggling teams. It's a game the leagues like to play.

Yet another reason sports league's should be banned from acquiring public funding for these stadiums outside of a strict limit... And the money they do get within that limit should be required to be paid back by the team over the period of the first lease. But I do believe the league is going to secure QC for relocation efforts.

Line backing group isn't great but it's not near the worst group in the league. Bradham probably walks in the next few days leaving us with Preston Brown and Manny Lawson. Watch out for Demario Davis from the Jets, he could be a good addition to the group.

I don't think there's a worse positional group in the league than our right tackle depth.
-
If only we could sign both Incognito and Evans. But really we need a right tackle much more than a second guard.

There was no chance the Broncos were retaining Peyton from the start and he knew that. I think he was legitimately considering entering free agency and trying to latch on somewhere else, but he made the right move. He'll probably join a front office somewhere. I know Tennessee has been mentioned.

Lots of movies I have to catch up on. The Martian, Room, Spotlight and Deadpool. Also, has anybody mastered the art of looking dumbfounded as much as Forrest Whitaker has?

I'm serious in saying that I also doubt it. He is in my top five dumbest athletes. I also hate the gloating going on social media about how the "cocky" Conor McGregor got what he deserved by losing when Nate is just as bad. Conor has at least backed up all of his talk. He lost this fight, but it should be noted this was well above his normal weight class. He wanted to try and get two belts. He'll go back to his weight class and dominate now. Meanwhile Nate, who is terribly inconsistent, will lose to the actual champ in Rafael Dos Anjos (the belt he has is the interim belt because RDA got hurt in training for the fight against Conor).

I did it purely based on the article's suggestions, but if he's an option I would have similar feelings about him and Landeskog. Between the two I think I prefer Gabe as a player because he's a much better defensive player... But if we want somebody who will definitely finish on Eichel's passes give me Duchene.

Thanks! Hoffman and Schwartz are two of the prospects I was a huge fan of well before they hit their big clubs. Between Schwartz and Hoffman it's super tight but I think I would prefer Schwartz slightly.

This is incredible Tim Wharnsby @TimWharnsby Brooks Laich had an assist on Michael Nylander's final goal on Apr 5/09 and his son William's first #NHL goal last night.

The most impressive part of the tattoo is that he got it while digging holes for money.

Of the players on the list I would prefer Stamkos, Schwartz or Hoffman. I don't think many of them are realistic, though. Steve Stamkos: realistic that he could come here, but I don't know how realistic it is that he would come here to play wing. I expect him to leave Tampa. Jon Drouin: realistic. It'd be a risk to commit to him as Eichel's winger going into next season considering how little we know about him as a professional. This may push back the playoff expectations depending on other moves. Jaden Schwartz: one of the league's most underrated players. I have admired him on the ice since he was a prospect in the Blues system. He and Landeskog are very close, in my opinion. I prefer Schwartz due to picks being the only real cost. Rick Nash: Meh. His window is small. He had a great year last year but has been disappointing and hurt this year. Patrick Marleau: Even smaller window than Nash. The cost could be much cheaper, but I don't think he's likely to want to play in Buffalo when he could join a known contender. Taylor Hall: no chance we have the pieces to pull this off unless we're willing to include Risto. Including Risto creates a huge hole when we've got other options that wouldn't cost Risto. Gabriel Landeskog: he's unbelievably cheap as far as the cap hit goes, but I don't know what else we can give outside of defense. If our top pick plus one of McCabe/Pysyk and a prospect can get it done then do it yesterday. Jeff Skinner: he's probably the cheapest commodity on the list. He's a capable finisher when healthy, and I wouldn't be upset. We'd want a defensive winger on the other side, though, because Skinner is a disaster in his own end. Mike Hoffman: this would be an unexpected name on the market but he'd be a great addition. It's not like he has played with elite linemates, either. I think Jack would be the best linemate he's had. Make him change his number, though.

Conor McGregor and Holly Holm got choked out last night. While I, mostly, don't care about Holm, Notorious losing was nearly a night ruiner. I said "I can't believe Conor lost" to myself while in the bathroom at a Buffalo bar last night and some dude at the trough just turned, while still pissing (EVERYWHERE), and goes "holy are you serious?" Luckily I was not pissed on.

What a great period... Now for overtime.

In my mind there's value in getting an 18 year old into your system. You can communicate with him and give them tips on how to do certain things (workout, eat, etc). Plus the experience of getting into an NHL camp to see what it takes... Not a fan.

WHAT THE MARK!? He was wide open... Make the play. Also, I don't like Jack immediately calling Pysyk out and failing to get back onside.
