Looks like they made a good decision not resigning Miller... Both Sabre's goalies have a lower GAA(2.33 and 2.64 for Johnson/Ullmark to 2.70 for Miller) and better save percentage(.918 for Johnson, .911 for Ullmark and .910 for Miller) Miller has been well below average for a lot of the time after he left Buffalo.

Ok, and he was on the ice for all 4 Sabre goals since he had an assist on each of them. That makes him a +2 right?

New year, tons of firepower, still cant score.

They are missing point blank chances LAST year's team would have scored on -

4th lowest scoring team in the NHL this year, averaging 2.09 goals...its only up .13 goals from last year, which is really pathetic... -

Now we are 1/4 way through the season...STILL can't score. When do we consider this a problem? 1 and 2 goals aren't going to win many games. Neither are 0. -

Sabres have a lot going for them right now...in top 10 in Corsi, top 3 in shots for/shots against differential, and are tied for the fewest penalties in the NHL with Carolina. Unfortunately their goaltending has been abysmal, with a team save percentage coming in at under 88%, and a league worst penalty killing percentage coming in at an embarrassing 69% -
One big positive the Sabres have going for them...

Sabres also have one of the best Shots For/Shots Against differentials in the NHL(top 3 after tonight), and are tied with Carolina for the fewest penalties in the NHL. Unfortunately their team save percentage is absolutely atrocious at under 88%, in the bottom 3 of the NHL, so that doesn't help much... -
Sabres have great Corsi stats...they routinely are outshooting the other teams and completely bombarded the Penguins tonight with 53 shots...eventually this will translate into wins. Sabres were 8th in Corsi before tonight but could jump 2 spots after tonight's performance... So they might not be winning or scoring enough yet, but they are light years ahead of last year's Corsi numbers already. It's only a matter of time before it starts translating into wins.

Its 5 games now...still the same problem. And we are in an all too familiar place in our division...the basement. -
So how much has changed? We still can't score goals. I know it's only 2 games but c'mon. Lets see something resembling offense.
-
Don't tell me with all this offensive firepower on this team we are still going to struggle to get shots and goals...

I think the Swords of a thousand men would have been a better choice...they could have played that "Hoorah, hoorah, hoorah ayy!" part 2 or 3 times before following it with "We're the swords of a thousand men!" Or, they could have taken it straight from the song from around 1:01 to 1:15...talking about "Hear our roar, hear our sound, we're gonna fight until we have won this town....hooorah, hoorah, hoorah ayyy..."

This should be easy money for anyone who bets. Bodog is basically handing money out by giving odds on the Sabres improving by under 6 wins in the upcoming season after they won 23 games last year in one of the worst seasons in NHL history and adding Eichel, O'Reilly, Rheinhart, Kane, etc...now the odds are 28.5 wins. So the Sabres win 29 games, you win the bet. This team is only going to improve by 6 wins over last year's team? Laughable. No way. Easy money. http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2015/09/27/bodog-provides-odds-for-nhl-team-wins-which-is-weird/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs

One thing is for sure...monumental upgrade in the female department...his fiancee is smoking hot compared to his ex wife who was....meh
-
WTF...First Kromer, now this...
-
I could see Carlo in the minors too...GMTM said he wants Rochester to start winning and they are sparing no expenses to make that happen apparently
-
Umm OK...perhaps another Dman for Rochester/6th man?
-
Sabres view him as potentially their Jonathan Toews...about 10-15 points less a year for 4 million a year less...now he just has to win some cups
-
I think in this case its pretty easy as you had 3 goalies who played very well with Buffalo and pretty bad on the teams they were traded to. If that isn't good enough I don't know what would be.

Kessel and Phaunef for Reinhart, Hodgson and Gionta?

Hell no...two players with Zero work ethic and huge contracts you can't get rid of...no thanks... -

Pysyk was ready all last year to be a regular in the NHL...Nolan was pretty frustrated about him being kept in the AHL... Risto, Pysyk, Bogo, Gorges, Ruhwedel and Weber as a top 6? I can live with that...if they could add another D as part of a 2nd pairing even better... McCabe possibly ready to make the jump as well?
