The PP was bad most of the year even with them. Housley took the #1 PP in the NHL the year before he got there with mostly the same players and turned it into dog crap.

This team is playing with their head up their ass. Its unbelievable how bad they look in their own zone. Inexcuseable. -

Then who do you blame when we continue to turn high scoring players from other teams into 10 and 15 goal scorers here? Funny how players leave here and suddenly figure out how to score again. -

The problem is they SHOULDN'T be. They have enough scoring talent to be far far better than they are. There is really no excuse other than Housley's system is failing miserably to let them flow offensively. -

Something isn't right when your team consistently turns 25 and 30 goal scorers into 10 and 15 goal scorers. -

This team has way too much offensive talent to have the same damn issues scoring goals as they did last year. It is unacceptable to be shut out twice in 6 games with as much top end scoring talent as we have. Whatever system we run offensively doesn't work and needs to be changed. -
Lehner: Isles are "like being part of a real team"

Maybe he should focus on stopping a puck in a shootout -
Sabres have finally done it! Unsure how many games exactly it was but I believe it stretched back at least 4 seasons...it was a topic of conversation on Schopp and the Bulldog last year at some point since the Sabres have been so bad and particularly bad to start the seasons they never even got to 1-0 or 2-1...

Its easier to start from scratch sometimes than trying to change habits of people that have already been there a long time. Different situations. Different realities. Starting from complete nothing can sometimes be easier than making tons of changes with leftovers mixed in. You can never have a true clean slate that way. If players were just robots with no humanness to them, then yes, I would agree. Players are not robots tho and reality doesn't work so easily.

Lots of new guys again. Might take a little time to gel. We have some talent we will not be as bad as last year by a long shot. I'm expecting a big surge after the all star break by this team

Carter Hutton doing his best NHL 2010 video game impression before the game starting hahaha

Ray probably thought "Damn this is so easy!"...then went on to only score 40 more in 899 other games haha.

Sabres start their run to the Stanley Cup tonight! I have a feeling Boston will be in a very surly mood after last nights drubbing.

I remember as a kid walking up to the oranges and being scared to death because the stairs were so steep... Had some good memories...played soccer at halftime of a Stallions game and scored the winning goal...friend of the family worked in sales and would get us rickets a lot of times...was in his office after the game one day talking with him and in walked Scottie Bowman...I was star struck. He said hello and then kept going to wherever he was headed...

Didn't want to take a chance with Eichel getting injured in the practice before opening day...

Sabres Trade Nick Baptiste to Nashville for D man Jack Dougherty
matter2003 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Baptiste was OK...always felt he didn't do enough to justify his spot as a scorer tho... -
Well....thank God it wasn't Eichel again...
