Dont need Nylander playing 8 minutes a night here. Need him playing 20 minutes+ a night in Rochester to continue to develop.

Maybe he finally has started taking things seriously and working hard to get better. Gotta think with young players that are high draft picks many times they can be lazy because their talent has carried them all their life and they never had to work hard because they were so much better than everyone else. That doesnt work anymore once you hit a certain level and it can be a shock to them at first. Looks like he is starting to figure out what is needed to be a productive player at the next level and a lot of that comes with maturity i think...Nylander turning into a productive player would be another great piece to add to the team's young core.

I think we are getting to the point that we have enough top level talent on the team that its near impossible they don't start making big improvements.

That doesn't say much tho. How many minutes did he get a game? Who was he playing with? What line? Did he get a lot of defensive zone starts? I agree the point total isnt very good but a lot of that depends on the above too.

Both sides are dug in like trench warfare in WWI and nothing anyone says will change their opinion, if only so their pride and ego doesn't take a hit publicly. At that point it doesnt become about the topic of discussion it becomes personal and about them keeping their "dignity" and not "losing" by changing course.

He repaired the foundation which is our AHL talent pipeline. Nothing he would have done would matter until that was taken care of. Murray built a towering house of cards with no foundation underneath which is why it ended up getting blown over when thr slightest wind gust came along. He is building the right way...through the draft and supplementing the roster through trades and FA pickups.

Politics and Religion are two topics of discussion where there can really be no productive discussion. If someone disagrees with the person or the politician they support they are automatically wrong and the person becomes a mortal enemy. Its among the most stupid topics of discussion imaginable because it turns otherwise rational people into completely irrational morons. As such I would prefer not to even have any politics discussed here as within 2 or 3 posts it will devolve into "I support this person and the other person is a POS and so are you."
