  1. No idea why...Skinner has always said he loved it here and wanted to stay. This is th3 closest place near home not named Toronto which has 0 prayer of offering him a contract and Skinner talked to Kreuger as if he was planning on being here discussing things in future terms with the team...its never been a thought that he was trying to leave.
  2. Bob MacKenzie reporting that Skinner and Sabres are closing in on an 8 year $9 million dollar AAV contract...WGR just interrupted with breaking news
  3. Botterill seemed pretty confident yesterday on the radio
  4. With Bills stuff he is incredibly well connected...not so sure in hockey
  5. Behind Newark and Anaheim...what a joke. Boston #1 https://sports.yahoo.com/boston-best-hockey-city-america-190500199.html
  6. rules at doing 20 minutes of work an hour and spending the other 40 minutes on social media.
  7. Even back in the1970 Cup Finals...Bobby Orr won it for the Bruins
  8. Boston and St Louis are the only 2 cities to meet in the Stanley Cup Finals, World Series, NBA Championship and Super Bowl
  9. Had the best record in hockey in late november and followed it by the worst record in hockey the rest of the way. Not sure that has ever been done before.
  10. Wtf is their replay for in the NHL if blatant rule violations cant be reviewed??? Total BS...Blues got hosed...
  11. Honestly? Probably not that much better than ours realistically.
  12. Hurricanes seemed to do OK with that
  13. He wasn't a soccer coach...he is a hockey coach who happened to be a great chairman of a english premier league team as well...
  14. This is the stuff Bill Belichick does...coach your people up, let them know exactly what you expect out of them and then let them do their job, support them fully in any way you can but hold them accountable. This is what people want in a boss...even if they don't get the job done and end up getting fired they will hold their boss in high regard because they will know it was their fault they got fired, nobody else's and he did everything he could to help them succeed.
  15. A small percentage of what the post I responded to was however.
  16. I'd be a good option too
  17. You have no clue what you are talking about.
  18. Honestly he seems gifted at pretty much anything he does, regardless of what industry it is or what job he is doing.
  19. Love, love, love this hire!!! Sabres will be legit cup contenders within 3 years under Krueger...this guy is special...he is a winner and has basically exceeded expectations in everything he has done... Those in the know consider him a brilliant hockey mind as well, very innovative and has the ability to get he most from any group he works with... Thomas Vanek said Kruger would be a "huge, huge get for Buffalo if they can get him" and said Kruger is one of the best coaches he has ever had...
  20. Sean McVay thinks otherwise. You sound like the guy who has been at a place for 30 years and still is an assistant and is mad because the "new guy" who is 25 years younger and has only been there 2 years but has new ideas and new methods of doing things that actually work gets the job instead.
  21. The more ability you have, the less experience matters. Experience teaches you how to do something "right" or how to handle situations that arise. People with high levels of ability already mostly know how to handle these things because they have exceptional instincts at doing it. Yes they make mistakes, but their mistakes are usually less frequent and less severe than other people with the saem experience they have. They also rarely make the same mistake twice and learn very quickly.
  22. I'm not sure it was "inferior" by that much...he had some very good players on it... Zdeno Chara, Marian Hossa, Marian Gaborik, Thomas Vanek, Leon Draisatl, Anze Kopitar, Mark Streit, Roman Jossi, etc... The most challenging part was he was taking guys who never played or really practiced together as a team and had to have them ready against teams that had been practicing and playing together for much longer periods of time.
  23. Experience always has been and always will be overrated. Ability is what matters. People with ability will always be quick learners.
  24. Let's put it in perspective...it was Edmonton's best finish in 11 years and everyone was surprised when he got fired. Then he took a bunch of guys who never played together from 8 different countries and shocked everyone by making it to the finals.
