I'll just drop this beaut' right here ... IMO, this is the greatest goal in Sabres history. It was against the storied Canadiens and sent the Sabres on their way to the final. The second best goal in Sabre history was the May Day goal, as it eliminated those most dastardly of the dastardly Bruins after years of futility.

We will never know if PH was a bad coach. What I do know is that he asked his players to do things that they could not do, at least on a consistent basis. I'm not sure if that really reflects on him as a coach, or the roster? He did not change what he was asking of the players after it was obvious that they could not deliver it. It won't be a fair comparison if PH coaches another NHL team ever, since the players will be different and the results will likely be different.

Maybe we should have an 'other' option and then a way to pencil it in there for each poll? I think the Leaves would have loved to not sign him this time around, but what could they do. There best shot at a cup in in the next few years and with him on the team. If the Leaves ever win a cup with him he will be traded that very offseason, maybe even before the parade. That's not to say that I think they will win a cup, as I don't.

And where is this Puzzles? That's the wrong spirit, but perfectly understandable. RaKru and the crew will beat you into submission and you will love it and learn to love the Sabres again.

Thanks. I just picked a significant date and said to myself that's it. I was not a heavy smoker, only 5 smokes a day at the time last year. I had quit for about 20 years when were first married and took it up again during an extremely stressful time ... my wife was basically held hostage in Sarajevo in 2005 and we had to hire and trust a Croatian thug / gangster to smuggle her out and into Croatia. Anyway ... picking a significant day (birthday, or something) may work for you. The folks around here really helped with support and one thing that @SwampD said really stands out ... he said what helped him was thinking of himself as a non-smoker and after the first week that thought in my head carried me through to now.
