In my limited looks at the kid, he can hold the puck for ages. I like the idea of a player that can keep the puck on his stick an extra 3 seconds. Those guys eat up shifts, and wear out defenses until plays open up. They don't come along everyday. Right now I have a preference for one of the SAMs but that can change.

I would just like to see them score 200 goals. 157 goals last season. Urgh. Nothing has happened yet that makes me optimistic that this number will improve. 157 goals in 82 games. about 1.9 a game. 200 goals in 82 games about 2.4 a game. Sabres have to be half a goal better a game just to catch up to last years 29th scoring team. The Sabres in other words can improve dramatically and still be last.

I like Stasny at 6 million. It's not like Buffalo has a cap problem. If he comes on at 5, 6, or 7 million it doesn't much matter. Center is a position to overpay for. Make that move and Nolan can make some lines. The lines he has to throw out there now are a joke. Everyone is playing a line/ or a league above their level.

I don't see how he can expect/protect himself from that hit. I see it very different. I just don't think Stepan can be ready to get hit there.
