  1. The club has given away all its leverage with those two. Even if they can move them, they might not get much of a return because they won't be separated.
  2. Keeping a linesman tied up for no reason when a fight is going on is really bad form. That could get someone killed. He deserves it for that alone.
  3. I wouldn't be shocked, but moving it certainly makes sense as you say... Lot of options if they don't want to keep the #5 pick. Trade for Spezza, (Tavares, and Spezza centering top two lines is not bad). Trade the pick for O'Reilly in a sign and trade with Colorado are among some options. Or as I've mentioned, Skinner from Carolina.
  4. Paul Newman voice....'I'm putting a personal bounty on that scumbag, Halak."
  5. It's a pretty cool tool. Check it out. http://www.sportingcharts.com/nhl/icetrack/
  6. There was never one in Buffalo? was there? Maybe with Washington?
  7. McCabe sees 99 seconds of ice time with Lavi in US loss. Novotny with 2A http://stats.iihf.com/Hydra/387/IHM387357_74_3_0.pdf
  8. I think Murray meant the composition of size and playing style. But I thought he may have been referring to acquisitions as well. More of a hockey trade than a free agency route to complete that roster.
  9. Murray says LA is his model. I guess that is a thumbs up to Dean Lombardi's approach to team building.
  10. I enjoyed your work. Nice.
  11. The coming problem isn't the cap or the salary floor, it is how to keep all the future prospects under the 50 contract limit. I think with a decent year between the A and the NHL...Rudy will be trade-bait.
  12. We can get there by Christmas Day.
  13. I think this is a good place to declare everyone a winner. Because good conversations need a winner. Congrats everyone.
  14. I've come around to GSAA - not that it matters for this discussion. But it makes a great case for getting rid of Fluery in Pitt. http://www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/NHL_2014_goalies.html#stats::16
  15. A nice discussion about Miller's failings, his market value, his goal-tending style, where he might end up, the Blues choices, and the merit of this trade in the overall picture, and the value coming back was an interesting one to me. Too bad that's a discussion we can't have here. :(
  16. Only with a 5 year X 5 million dollar contract would I do that.
  17. It will be interesting to see how he handles that aging roster.
  18. Be still.......breathe.... If you haven't noticed, we are doing an autopsy here.
  19. quick check - it looks like Miller played 19 games between March 2 and April 13th to end the regular season. that's a pretty large workload. I'm not sure a lesser workload beats Chicago - but it certainly doesn't leave much practice time to adjust. What am I missing? Isn't this whole thread about how Miller underachieved?
  20. I don't think Hitchcock gets much credit for his handling here either.
  21. I like Shiva on the ice. Tough enforcer. You never know where those punches are coming from.
  22. I wouldn't be too upset about McNabb. If McNabb doesn't make the Kings roster out of camp, and there is a good chance he won't, McNabb will get waived. Buffalo has first claim. So Murray can have him right back if he wants him.
