Ahem.... Lavern and Shirley and Mork and Mindy.

It's this time of year I really miss EJ McGuire.
-
good point. Can't do one pull-up? I'm worried about lifting sticks and winning draws.
-
If that don't get ya movin', finish it off with a pot of coffee.

2014 Stanley Cup Finals - NY Rangers vs. LA Kings
X. Benedict replied to X. Benedict's topic in The Aud Club
If NY has a shot the difference is Lundquist. But Vingeults system is really not that different from Lindy's. Roll 4, active D, puck possession game. I just don't think NY is deep enough up the middle. Should be a good series. FWIW I have an acquaintance that works for the Rangers in development. I asked if they will win. He said with a plain face. "Nope," but then added, "but that kind of takes the pressure off, doesn't it?" -
I like LA in 6. I really think NY had a soft road here in terms of physical play. LA will take center ice away from NY. Bet all your money on LA. All of it.
-
There is an explanation though. these are high school students playing up to 90 games a year. Between world juniors, chl regular season, playoffs and studies - your average high school track athlete is spending more time in the weight room.
-
If he was the next Wayne Gretzky and couldn't do a pull-up, I wouldn't care. But this is the next Doug "Killer" Gilmour. Can you imagine the chirping? Hey Sam, good to see you, we thought you drown....couldn't pull yourself out of a swimming pool.

Thread winner.

I seem to recall Kane only did one rep in the bench press at his combine. The kids coming out of juniors never seem to have exceptional strength. Too many games and too much time on the bus.
-
Not 1? That's news.
-
Thinking it over - it is probably 50/50.
-
I think both are back and Derek Forbort is waiting in the wings too. McNabb didn't exactly crack the Sabres. Unless he has a monster camp he's probably organizational depth.
-
Couldn't help but notice this piece on TJ Brennan. http://sports.nation...ighting-up-ahl/ 25 goals this year in the AHL.
-
If I'm the owner of an NBA team, I wouldn't be too worried about this going to jury.
-
I'd put it this way. I'd trade a second pairing D-man in Myers for a top 3 forward in Skinner, assuming I could upgrade Myers too. Ekblad in. Skinner in. Myers out. I wouldn't want this in a vacuum, of course, but Murray still has plenty of ammo left to address the center ice position.
-
Sabrespace sez: One goal for every candle.
-
I'd be very happy to have Skinner. He's 22, can slide to center when needed. He really is underrated for how strong he is with the puck, almost in the same way Briere was underrated for his strength. He's not just a shot anymore. He'll continue to get stronger. I think he'd be a mainstay on a top line for years.
-
I really like Tyler Myers. But he's yet to become the player that carries the team for long stretches. Do you build a core of players around him, or is he simply a good #3. Somehow this team has to add 70 goals a year to be competitive. I don't think Murray will be afraid to move Myers if he can improve the team by adding 30 goals in aggregate with a younger or similarly aged player. There's a reason they call Ekblad the "Man-child" . I think he can step right in.
-
I get that too. I'm laughing because of the investment "problem". The Fruit Belt is no exception. Buffalo is always conflicted by any proposed investment.
-
Investment is ruining the Fruit Belt. I don't know what is funny about that precisely, but I'm laughing.
-
Ekblad has it all: balance, speed, size, monster shot, vision, mean streak. I really think he's about as close as I've seen to a can't miss D prospect.

Strongly disagree, getting Fasching was a steal. Fasching was drafted young at age 17. If he re-entered this years draft he'd be a first rounder. Well worth a 2014 2nd round pick at #60 and most likely a 2015 2nd round pick between #50-#60. No way LA wanted to give up Fasching, but they needed ammo for a package to get Gaborik.
