  1. The more I think about this trade, the more it makes no sense. What were the Avs doing? What the were they doing?
  2. LTS <3
  3.
  4. Jacker retires with a degenerative heart condition. THANKS, CALLAWAYSABRES
  5. I like him. Soft spoken, calls the flow well and gets excited when appropriate. He had one of my favorite goal calls last year on a Girgensons goal. I'll see if I can find it later.
  6. I certainly didn't notice him much in our games against the Flyers.
  7. Stop it. I'm wearing jeans.
  8. I like him, but he's had a rough couple of outings lately. He was fine last night. Not good, but fine. I think Des is a much more effective 5 on 5 player.
  9. I saw that he was the third star on the front page of nhl.com last night. Not surprised he's having success with the Kings. He's an ideal backup.
  10. I like Legwand too, but the bolded is overstated.
  11. Halle lujiah!
  12. Moulson carries little to no trade value because of his contract. He can't even be a rental.
  13. From the GDT for the season opener against Ottawa: Yup. Just a buncha butthurt Sabres fans there.
  14. And even then, that didn't look like a playoff team last night.
  15. Really? You haven't heard any of the well put complaints on the board by several different posters? I really don't think that Bylsma is drilling into their heads not to go offside. He preaches a fast game, and speed tends to lead to offsides. I think (hope) he's telling the guys to keep up the speed through the neutral zone.
  16. His recent slump aside, I think Zemgus is one of those players that will never stop growing. I think he'll be every bit as effective a playoff player as Simmonds, but he doesn't bring the same physical intimidation.
  17. WC is right that we need RWs, but I don't know how I feel about giving Zemgus up for Simmonds. Simmonds makes our forward group better and more dynamic for sure, but Zemgus is a better depth piece. If Simmonds wasn't 27 and likely to slow down around 29-30 when this team is kicking into gear I'd say it's a no brainer.
  18. Can't figure it out for the life of me. Legwand's recent play certainly deserved a scratch. Hope Des is okay.
  19. He is definitely on the ground longer than average for an NHL goalie. Most goalies don't swim in the crease for ten full seconds as Ullmark did from :41 to :31 last night. I hope it's the hips.
  20. ...Wild said there was a possibility. Doesn't sound like confirmation bias to me.
  21. Players want to gain the offensive zone. I highly doubt that there will be fewer offsides in the future because of overturned goals. If players really start going offsides less it'll be because they aren't trying to carry as much speed into the O-zone. It's just something else to take goals off the board and slow the game down. The NHL's bread and butter.
  22. You sound like my brother.
  23. It's not just that he doesn't blitz, the linebackers are never behind the D-line. We don't even threaten the possibility of a blitz. Our pass rushing scheme is so vanilla, it reminds me of the George Edwards defense.
