So many of those shots seem pathetic, too. Like all he can do anymore is jam it in the pads.

I think Bylsma is really likable. I'm just very unimpressed with his judgement half the time. Just keep feeding Eichel ice time with Kane and everything will be fine.

And it's not that line so much as "nostalgia" is the general emotion the trailers try to elicit. Which is fine, but can't at least one or two of the trailers act like the exciting awesome stuff is yet to come?

I figured that's what the line was. I still think it's clumsily written trailer fodder. How does he know that ALL the stories she heard are true? Wouldn't a universe this big have a lot of false information and stories being spread? I get that she's a historian or whatever going onto old crashed ships looking for stuff, but it sounds so much like Han is talking directly to us. "All those stories are true." "So you really had a threesome with Luke and Leia? Damn. Greasy."

The trailers really bother me because they're all about nostalgia. And Han's line "All those stories you heard, they're all true." What a dumb line. I hope somebody just asked him if it's true that he has a 3 foot wiener. The prequels were entirely unlike the originals while granting the story of the originals an absurd amount of importance (boba fett is now every storm trooper, vader is the most important piece of every puzzle). I'm worried that this movie will go too hard on the sequel stuff.

Abrams is good for Star Wars type movies. Not so good for actual science fiction. He (and his producers) turned Star Trek into action shlock. The first one was good action shlock, the second one was just shlock.

I find that way of describing women and relationships really creepy, sad, and sexist.

I think Ted Nolan hockey wore his body down. Grinding was never part of his game, yet we still see him trying hard on the boards and being largely ineffective this year.

Samson played a good, but frustrating, game. He had a lot of good looks. It's pretty awesome how strong he is on the puck. Despite the fact that Eichel is faster, Samson utilizes his speed much more effectively. Samson might actually be quicker than Jack at this point. He gets the benefit of playing alongside O'Reilly, easily our best forward. Larsson and Zemgus had another good effort, but they really need to start finding one another in the offensive zone. Gionta was Gionta: he tried hard the whole time and was ineffective for much of it. Adding to what many others have said about Kane and Eichel, yikes. These guys don't create space for one another whatsoever. Kane just uselessly dumped in the puck (a bit too far) to himself all night, and Eichel continued to play without confidence. Was Moulson out there? I thought Franson had a pretty nice game. Rasmus needs to take over on offense more. Too many point shots coming from 47 instead of 55.

I thought he skated hard, but wasn't a physical presence whatsoever. He didn't make any nifty offensive moves, either.

I agree, tell us what you see! None of us are experts (except Pi2000).

Where has Evander Kane gone? He's been invisible lately. Nice games by Weber and Bogosian.

I wasn't so crazy about Days of Future Past. I loved First Class, though.
