Yeah. When he has the puck with space, he doesn't try anything and the space disappears immediately. At least Gionta can create a bit of space with his speed, but Legwand is purely a defensive 4th liner (he did have a really nice 5-hole goal the other day). Evander Kane played another good game. Like Dudacek said: the offence isn't there but the pressure is. Opposing D-men have such little time to figure out what they're going to do with it. Nice stuff from Pysyk. He's still not super strong below the circles, but man is he smooth. Larsson with another great effort. That line tries so hard, but they really don't know how to offense. Those shots/zone start % stats are crazy. Rasmus is such a beast. I would say that he needs to keep the puck and do it himself more often (got a really nice scoring chance off a pinch in the 1st), but when you're playing 30 minutes a night, you gotta stay fresh. I agree with what everyone said about the hallway shot, that was super fun. Great Vince Gilligan blocking of Eichel and Sam goofing off with their serious mentor between them down the hall. -

Once again, you don't seem to understand the problem people are having with the article. I never said that life is easy for white males, but holy hell is it easier. I used to think that women were treated generally equal to men, but I was a sheltered kid. It wasn't until much later on that I started experiencing exactly how different it is to be a woman. It wasn't until I was in highschool that I wondered why so many pretty girls had low self esteem. -
I started playing hockey when I was 16 (22 now). I've always been kinda fit, but it wasn't until I played pond hockey that I actually ever got in shape. (Except for maybe band camp twice or thrice.) I've never been a particularly motivated individual, but hockey was so fun that I couldn't stop playing. Nights out on the pond would seemingly never end. I'd retrieve my puck from the net and think one more shot. I'd skate around a couple times and shoot. Depending on my shot, the rationalization to justify one more shot would change. That was a good one! Let's see if I can hit the other post and in. (one more shot) I always shoot high, I should practice low shots too. (one more shot) I haven't shot backhand in a while. (one more shot) Those are just for good shots. If the shot sucked, then it's easy: Can't end on a bad shot. That's only when I'm night skating alone, though. Most of the time I have a sibling or two available to pass the puck. My sister and I checked out a new (to us) pond on my hill today. The man made water holes near my house have been carved to pieces by many eager pond hockey players that had to wait all December long. Getting a fresh surface is like Christmas morning. The longer it stays cold, the more Christmas mornings I get. That's what motivated me to finally type out my piece on hockey romance. I'm about to leave for my beer league game in 20 minutes. My brother and I are playing against one another AND my girlfriend is coming. She's skated with me on the pond but she's never seen me play in a game, so I get to show off tonight. Unfortunately my brother's team is better than mine so it might get a bit ugly, but it'll the forwards faults (not mine). Hockey has been a great source of stability and happiness for me. Having struggled with a lot of self doubt after failing out of McGill and being generally a directionless, unmotivated stoner; hockey was a constant source of helping me sort out my mental health issues. Miller got me into it with his 2010 Olympic performance, I was just a casual Sabres fan before that. I kinda remember the 2007 playoffs. I remember my mom being sad. I also got my older brother back into hockey around that time. He played until he was 15, then quit (probably because he didn't fill out until age 24). He was converted from a Rags fan into a good guy, so that was a great success for my mom and I. We were eventually able to pester our sister and eldest brother into joining us as well. Now every Saturday all four of us play together at drop in. Now that the ponds are frozen, we see each other a lot more often. It's just the best.

Nobody has a problem with her being called sweet. I think most would agree that she seems really sweet. That's her public persona, however. Obviously to her employees she's not going to be the sweet Kim Pegula, she's going to be the boss and run the damn company. Males in a position of power aren't under anywhere near as much scrutiny as women. That's what people are taking issue with. After saying that the only thing keeping black people in the ghetto is black people, I'm recognizing a very clear pattern with you. Not one demographic in the US get as fair a shake as white men. That's a fact, it's not a great con. It's not because people are trying to be sexist or racist, it's because these thought structures have existed in our society for generations and recognizing them isn't a simple task by any means. As a society or at a personal level (but personal is politcal, so whatevs). -

It sure as hell sounds sexist. I know that Bucky has a habit of writing drivel that casts Sabres' front office employees in a negative light, so his saving grace might be that he's a doosh to everyone. But reporting a non-story with negative connotations about a female boss having boss-like qualities sure sounds and looks like a duck. -
There are people that don't like "ScoooOOOOOOOOOoores?" What, are you just not that into "Shaaaaauuuggggghhht" as well?

They have John Scott. They'll be fine.

A man runs a business well and he's a saavy professional. A woman does it and she has a controlling personality. Really? The boss controls stuff? She's not as sweet as she comes across? Like... when she's doing PR? No . -

Yeah. If we're not going to play Lehner against Arizona, might as well get him some more game action in the A. -

Our forward lines are so much worse than I thought they'd be this year. Losing Ennis and Moulson's production has killed us. I was counting on both of them to be solid 2nd liners. -

I'm seeing it tonight, too. Mostly to laugh at. 2 hours and 24 minutes Michael Bay? Really? -
Cody Hodgson for Zack Kassian ended up being a perfectly equal trade for us. Except for that cap space from the buyout. Thanks, Darcy.

I typed out a long post and lost it. When I get home, I'll weigh in on what I loved about Mad Max. It definitely wasn't a deep film or anything, but it was an action movie that had respect for its audience. -
I don't think they're ragging on you. I think most of us agree that DeLuca 500 is the "real" 500, points system aside.

I didn't hear the crowd making noise last night. There were a couple half hearted lets go buffalo chants and then Marcus got a good cheer. When Foligno and Wilson were talking to one another in the penalty box, Wilson mocked Foligno's pump up the crowd celebration. It cracked me up.

I recently saw H8ful Ate, The Forest, and The Revenant. H8ful ate was very meh. I love pretty much every other Tarantino film but this one felt like he was just going by the numbers to make another movie. It was a period film (1868 in the West) shot like a western. The first 45 minutes had me super excited but it quickly fizzled out. The climax was very boring to me. Without Walton Goggins there would've been very little to keep me in my seat. The Forest was okay. Just a pretty good horror film, nothing more. Nat Dormer displayed her chops and: she's a good actress. GoT criminally underutilizes her. The movie needed more focus, especially more visual unity between the beginning and end. There weren't any overlying themes or visual metaphors, and this film was just begging for it. The Revenant was amazing. Best use of nature in a film that I've ever seen. This movie is about a guy in 1823, nature, life, and whether or not we even deserve it. One of my favorite movies of the year along with Fury Road. -

Eichman was invisible tonight except for drawing the penalties. Risto was the real weapon on the PP. -

Nice games by Larsson, Kane, and Rasmus. Pysyk looked his usual smooth self. Our arena is still a library. -
