Well, I just traded in my 300hp sports car for a grocery getter. Part of me is horribly sad. But part of me likes my mid-size SUV. It'll be helpful on trips with the dogs....oh and with my family too. Mazda CX-5

Well, I did it. I qualified for the NASTAR National Championship in Aspen, CO. Meaning I'm am OK beer league alpine ski racer. I'm really in a big fish, small pond scenario and I'm most definitely going to get absolutely smoked in the top division in Aspen, but oh well. I'm in.

First it was Gwyneth Paltrow. Now it's Erykah Badu. Why? Sweet Jesus why? When I walk into a room, cucumber melon is a nice scent. Sometimes pine is a little overpowering. Ahh, Monday. Woke up at 3am. Drove four and a half hours to Vermont. Skiied til the lifts stopped spinning, went in the bar, had a burger, listened to the band and drove four hours and ten minutes home(driving south is faster than driving north, right?) Mondays are tough.

I live in Northeast Pennsylvania now, so I ski at a few of our local hills now. But I've skiied pretty much everywhere in NY(I raced from elementary school through highschool), most of the major resorts in Vermont. I finally made it to New Hampshire and Maine last year and I'll be back in VT on this coming Monday at Magic Mountain. I've never been out west. Yet! It's a goal of mine and a massive regret so far.
