12 pack of Blue Light and a 6 pack of Mike's Hard cost me $32 tonight.

My new pedals for my mountain bike came in the mail today! Yes! *****! I don't have a pedal wrench! Ok, bike store opens at 10 tomorrow. Get pedal wrench! Also, my storage hooks came in the mail today too. So now my bikes are all hanging up in my garage. Looks not half bad.

5 years ago this week I was in Florida. The draft lotto was happening. On the night of the lotto I was at a car show and made the proclamation that when we won this lotto I was going to buy a '66 Chevelle to celebrate. Trouble is there was only one '66 at the show and the guy was asking for triple its value. So I was off to a bad start. Then we lost the lotto, great! Then we have gone what seems like 5 years without winning a hockey game. Seriously, the only fun I've had with this team in the last five years have been on this message board and going to the Meet-up games with the people on this message board. ...and this article.

I got more new ear buds. Towards the end of February I had to replace some old wireless earbuds(corded together). I picked up a cheap pair of Taotronics Sound Liberty 79 from Amazon. They are pretty ok. The sound is clean with pretty crisp mids and highs. Especially crisp for $40 ear buds. Trouble is they aren't loud enough for me and my right ear doesn't seem to want to accept holding onto the ear bud. For my birthday my wife got me some Raycon buds. LOUD!! And the bass really thumps. I'm getting as much bass out of these as my son gets out of his PowerBeats Pro buds. The mids and highs aren't muddled like the reviews said they would be either. So I can go from my 80s and 90s rap to metal, thrash and old country and they all sound pretty darn good. And they lock into my ears very snuggly. Good buds, good battery life, tiny charge case. Would recommend.

Nothing in the past 5 years of sabres hockey has made me as happy as that article just did.

I have increased the length of my dogs walks from about a mile and a half per day to about 6 miles per day depending on weather. And when it's above 50 degrees I'm riding my bike. The trails are completely empty behind my house, which is nice. The trails across town are full of dirt bikes, however, so I'm avoiding them.

I like your theory in theory. I am in a position that I don't get points. But as for the people under me, I damn sure know who I'd fight to keep if they accumulated too many points and who I wouldn't.

My employer has a "no fault attendance policy" you can miss work for a medical procedure or because you wanted to go golfing. Still 1 point. 10 points in 12 months is the limit. So you get 9 call-ins and between 160 and 240 hours of PTO per year. I don't know if that's good or bad. But it seems to be an industry standard in my line of work.

Lake George is empty all winter long. Doesn't start to pick up until May. I use it as a base of operations when I ski up north because hotel rooms are so cheap there in the winter. Half hour to Gore and an hour and 40 to Whiteface. It's either that or pay triple in North Creek or 10x in Lake Placid. But still, Lake Placid flipping rocks.

Got it on the 15th. Got my second unemployment check yesterday and my first +$600 with it. Holy cow, I needed that. Now let's pay some bills so I can be broke again!

My wife makes me the fruitist, most "girly" drinks ever. And ya know what? They're good. Sometimes they're too sweet and not boozy enough, but most of the time they're alright. I'll drink whatever and call it manly. ...As long as it's not a ***** IPA. Those God awful things are like penance! What did I do to deserve this punishment of the worst beer any angry God could create!?

Just played 5 and a half hours of Spades with my wife and son. Total dominance!!! My family is convinced I'm rigging the deck every time I deal. (I'm not)

Pennsylvania liquor stores are closed. I'm rationing my last 4 ounces of bourbon. I'm drinking white claws with frozen fruit in them.

Hearts, Spades and Pitch are my games. I get absolutely destroyed at Rummy. If we put the cards away, I'm pretty good at Mexican Train. I'd never heard of it. But it's a neat game with weird dominoes.

I cook every day. Love it! When my wife and kid go home to visit family and I stay behind, I never cook. Never. I'll eat Taco Bell for lunch and dinner every day they're gone. I will make myself an omelette for breakfast. But that's the only cooking I ever do for one person.

Getting my butt whipped at Hearts by my family. Ooops, shot the moon twice in a row. Time to beat their butts at Spades now.
