The same thing is happening in the bike world. I dropped my bike off at the shop yesterday and they had exactly one bike for sale. The showroom floor is completely empty of inventory. However the repair rack had at least 35 bikes on it. Shops are buying bikes from other shops at full retail right now. I'd say it's crazy, but it's exactly the same as last summer.

I'm dropping one of my bikes off at the shop today. If I'm lucky I'll get it back before Easter. But to be honest, I'm expecting mid-April. New wheels, new cassette, new cranks, new brakes and a partridge in a pear tree. It's too cold to ride in April anyway

The bean counters have decided to give us our money back. All the salaried workers at my company have been operating on a 20% pay cut since just before Christmas. We go back to our full pay in another week. Thank Christ! 3 full months with people that are 4 and 5 positions underneath me making more money than me is not cool.

Are they losing more money by keeping him? That's my question. We probably will win a couple more games this season just on luck. But what if they brought in a coach who could actually coach and what if that coach taught the team how to play hockey for the reminder of the season, and with that knowledge, they scored some goals and won a few games? That might go a long way in generating future revenue.
