Triple Crown Winner.

I'm thinking 1, 4, 7 box. I don't like that the 4 got smoked in the derby, skipped the Preakness, got a month off and now shows up in NY all fresh for the longest race of the crown. Let's go Justify. Win it. Wear that crown.

Drinking culture is a huge part of it. I went from CNY, to Buffalo, to NE Pennsylvania, and all three areas drink their faces off. Friends and I went out to visit a buddy in San Francisco, those people really didn't 'get us'. Been to Ohio numerous times, they think we drink to excess as well. Central Florida was wondering why we weren't doing meth, and Chicago doesn't think we have a drinking problem. I really think most of it is what you grew up around. Waking up and riding out to the Bills game with your buddies? Shower beer is definitely the way to start the day. Monday holiday? Trashed, obviously. Everyone else is doing it. Why shouldn't I? (Strangely enough, I've never seen my mother have more than a glass of wine, and the only time I've seen my father drunk was my doing.) The pill epidemic is just sad. I'm thankful that I don't have any friends who have OD'd from that . But I definitely have acquaintances that have what I think is a problem.

It's advertised as the coolest thing you could ever possibly do with your down time. (Says the guy who's know to be day drunk in a dark bar, filled with cigarette smoke and a bunch of Vietnam vets at 11:30 in the morning, watching The Price is Right.)

I weighed in at 171 pounds this morning and I just put up a new personal best squat of 400 pounds. I'm pretty darn happy with that.

The first time I was in Vegas, I showed up in August for a family thing. Walking through the revolving door to exit the airport and 115 degrees hit me for the first time. I got one step out of the door, turned around and walked back into the airport. I couldn't believe it. The heat stopped me dead. Couldn't breathe for a second. Y'all can keep the heat. I'll just stay in the north east for the rest of my life. Unless I can move to the Mountain West.

Oh snap! The gauntlet has been thrown down! I'd join in, but my hair's been falling out like it's on fire, so I'm out. I'm definitely interested in going again, though.

The Rangers just released Tim Lincecum, likely ending his career. Just looked up his numbers. His career really isn't very impressive. I was pretty surprised. 2 Cy Young awards 4 all star games and a few WS rings, but he never won 20 games. Never even won 19. Struck out a bunch of guys for a few years but he only won 110 games. Hmm

I just want to be able to find Buffalo Trace again. I love eagle rare, but I loooove Buffalo Trace. Plus, BT is 5 bucks cheaper! Sometimes $7!
