  1. It could have been this
  2. I'd like him to add Reinhart to the roster
  3. I wish you patience - years ago I had poison ivy as bad as your picture. It's miserable for days to weeks depending on your body, but it does go away. You also learn to NEVER experience such an outbreak again. I slept in long pants/sleeves for several days so the sheets didn't rub the blisters
  4. Me too, although short in the photo
  5. You want go big or go home - Bobby Orr with good knees!
  6. I agree - I think one problem is he's neither Ted nor RJ. The simulcast is also a huge problem for him. He'd be much better if he was only "calling" the game for a single audience. I generally listen to games on satellite radio and need to know when a goal is scored
  7. I've repeatedly read these names as comparisons. Why doesn't anyone ever talk about Borje Salming? Any reason other than age?
  8. No love for Jiri Dudacek?
  9. Schoeny, Gare, Bert in that order. Age has a lot to do with it. I was present as a kid when Schoeny took on 3 Bruins, spilling into the Zamboni corrider. Gare scores seconds into his NHL career to open the season. Bert was, well, the best there was and a pleasure to watch. I remember Carriere quoted as saying Bert made playing easy - get the puck, take it behing the net, wait for Bert to come back and get it - watch him go 200 feet and you're plus 1.
  10. i'd also throw in losing to the isles in both 76 and 80. those were cup quality teams and the ens was just awful.
  11. Back when I had the DirecTv sports pack, even without CI you'd get the pre and post game shows. I'd often listen to the game on XM radio and turn on the TV postgame show
  12. I think I'd prefer Ken Dryden
  13. this times alot! if you didnt get to watch Bert live growing up you may notunderstand. you dont want to ask someone like Bert or Jack to be phil esposito
  14. Risto can't sing or play guitar like Schoeny! Ramsey, Schoeny, Housley, Korab/Hajt are the names he needs to surpass
  15. Apparently - I still remember the depression
  16. Do I recall correctly that the Isles scored in the last minute or so of game three when the game appeared headed to OT?
  17. Didn't remember Bones played for anyone but the Sabres. That team was deserving of a better fate - it was crushing losing to the Isles, who wouldn't lose a playoff series for several years
  18. OK blue Jays . . . Let's play ball!
  19. Al Smith's retirement still brings a smile to my face every time I'm reminded of him leaving the Sabres organization
  20. I'll raise a Goose Island IPA!
  21. Winner! What about the gray seats in the Aud?
  22. I think I recall the Carriere photo - are both of his legs flying in the air, almost parallel to the ice?
  23. start by looking at the size of the goalie equipment. if ken dryden had todays pads he might have a gaa below 0.25!
  24. If that was in 72-73, the back story may well be the Gerry Meehan goal with 4 seconds left in the 71-72 regular season that knocked the Flyers out of the playoffs. https://youtu.be/OKanXHoFE00
