Here's what Savoie's numbers look like this year for those who are curious as I was. Looks like he didn't do much with his 4 games of NHL action but he's playing well / as expected in the AHL.

It's kind of like a swiss army knife in which it's fun to look at and think about the different things it can do but the closer you examine it the less fun it is to take in as you realize it won't do anything right. The bolded has been the problem with this team since Adams took over 5 years ago. It's infuriating this is still the case and it's the main reason my head exploded when we preemptively signed Bryson to another contract.

It's hard to compare the organization of Tampa Bay to that of the Buffalo Sabres. I'm scarred by the run of Housley, Krueger and then Granato. This whole discussion feel moot because we know Appert is Adams guy for some reason, well the reason is that he's home-grown "talent" that's less expensive than brining in someone from the outside.

This is the first season I haven't followed this team closely. What's the deal with Norris? Is he on IR? What kind of injury does he have? What's the deal with UPL? Is Reimer simply outplaying him?

Please god don't hire another coach who doesn't have any NHL head coaching experience.

Today is Pegula's birthday. Does the team hunker down and win one for the bossman or do they lay a giant turd on the ice?

At this point Pegula is using the Sabres operating losses as a giant tax write-off to offset the new stadium overages. He's not making any changes because this is what he wants.

It looks like Cozens has 7 points in 8 games with the Sens? Not bad.

Cozens was absolutely a problem in Buffalo. I hope he gets his head sorted out in a new environment but saying he wasn't a problem here is some revisionist history. I don't disagree with your 2nd point. In the moment, whose feeling more pressure? Kevyn Adams to turn this thing around and not get fired or the passenger of Ocean Gate's Titan?

Win or lose, ***** this winter. Good lord was this season brutal.

For years I have been saying that as long at Bryson is on this team they will not make the playoffs.

How has this not been announced yet? It's been nearly 2 hours past the deadline??? Imagine being traded but then finding out it didn't go through in time. That'd be an awkward morning the next time you came into work.

For Marchand?

I'll be shocked if Cozens can hit the next next time he plays us, which looks like it'll be March 25th.

He scored that goal in the 4 Nations and then scored another his first game back. His value has never been higher.

I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about the players coming back but I am glad I won't have to watch Cozens anymore.

I just got back from a few days in south Florida and the weather was absolutely perfect. Being able to go outside and not be freezing is such a better way to live. The traffic down there, not so great.

If I'm Jason Zucker, there's no way I'd actually want to stay in Buffalo and I'd be shocked if he's on the team next year. Not trading him would be a whiff by Adams.

I'd rather trade Zuckerberg with an oral agreement to sign over the off-season. the ways he's been playing hell get a decent return.

Will this team hit 70 points this year?

7-3 in the last 10 and we're still dead last in the conference. Woof.

The way team USA was built, Tuch would have been a way better fit than Thompson. Tage would have been the softest player on that team by a mile. It sounds like all the teams were dealing with illness, not just the teams, I know so many people who've been sick in the past 2 weeks. Something is ripping through us. Ultimately, I think it's a selfish move by Matthew, he probably told the coach he was good to go but that obviously wasn't the case. Whatever, I was rooting for Canada last night, although it would have been cool to see a Sabre out there.

That was fun that we got to watch Matthew tchachuk stapled to the bench, unable to play, instead of a healthy Tage.

One of the only things I respect about how the NFL operates is that the ball is kicked-off at the time listed. The NHL always feels like a crapshoot of when the game might start, depending on pre-game ceremonies, anthems or what have you.
